Night Life
Hi All, New to the forum, I must say I really enjoy the comments and advice obtained here. This will be my 3rd trip to Phuket (July 2008), and this time I have convinced the missus to attend one of the lady boy shows, and frequent some of the bars (now that we are kid free). Any suggestions, we also want to check out some of the saucier shows, (you know the ones I mean, with ping pong balls etc) just to curb our curiosity LOL
Would appreciate any recommendations, Many Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Welcome Tony,
Having not been there yet I cannot offer any advice. I know that many of the BM's will point you in the right direction.

Welcome to the board.
I was curious about the Ping Pong shows also..until I got to the door of one of them an saw the size of the girl shooting the ball. ewww. Never made it in the door and no longer have the desire. Others might be able to point you to a more appealing show than I somewhat saw.

I find the ping pong shows really disgusting, well as a tourist on my 1st trip to LOS, i had to experience it also, never went to those shows ever since!! Also it's not cheap, freaking cover charge and a beer...rubbish!!

Have to say the ping pong show is one of he most unsexual things you can see.
You will likely enjoy a good lesbian show tho, the gogos in Soi Seadragon have some raunchier ones and Dragon does a couple tho they seem less frequent.
Pattaya is better for this but not worth the trip just for that.

Take it step by step, keep an eye on the misses, as not always get the reaction expected. Ping Pong shows, as said are vbery unsexy, usually performed by quite old ladies, very dirty, hygiene wise, not your problem but can be a stomach churner for the misses, quite agressive with bringing round the pint pot afterwards for your tip, 'I'll give her a tip, go home and look after your grankids', doen't go down too well!!! if you go to one in Patong, do not let the touts on the street take you there, as then you are charged extra to cover their commission, ask in MTB of the whereabouts and I'm sure one of us can show you or point you in the right direction.

you will be handed flyers vfor these sorts of shows as you walk down Bangla unfortunately......sorry but they are pretty sick and sordid and as Hobbsy says very much a sexual turn-off not a turn on....but each to their own...haven't seen one for 20 years...but I know they haven't changed much

check out the simon caberat show, you can book it anywhere on the street hotel pick up and dropoff included in price (around 1000 baht) after the show the performers greet you outside but be warned, have photo pay for it they get very upset if no money comes there way(about 100 baht for photo) it is as good as any stage show you would see in the west lights and music unreal, it's almost a must do for a firsttimer also fantasea is worth a visit during your trip. give the ping pong a miss waste of money.

I agree with the BM's above about the ping pong show.
But.....if you've never seen it and are curious....go and have a look.
Once will be enough...and your curiosity will be satisfied.
I went to one in Soi Sea Dragon and when the touts out on Bangla tried to get us in we ended up negotiating the price of the beer as it was very expensive to begin with.
We made sure when our beer order was taken that the bar staff knew what the price was.
I threw a 20 baht note in the tip bucket at the end and we were out of there.

Usually if the touts take you in your beer is 300 baht.
If you tell them you have been before and paid 120 for a beer,it`s 120.(Maybe 140 now, haven`t been for a while).
Errrrr.... so my mate says..

Agree with Dodger here. Just follow his advice.
Over the years I have seen this kind of show 3 or 4 times at a number of different places. The first time you see it its a shock, not a turn on. But like fireworks, if you have seen one display you have seen them all. So the next times you won't be interested. That said, the only people I have ever really seen been turned on by these shows is the farang women watching. A few have been visably eroused by these activities. But its not for everyone.

In one of the go gos in Sea Dragon many years ago a "lady" walked on stage with a small cage. She then sat on the stage legs a kimbo and produced a live rodent. After the show she dressed then came an sat with us, she seriously thought we would be impressed and find her attractive. Maybe it's just me but putting anything of mine in a place a rat recently called home is a no go.

I like sex.
I like sexy things, that make you feel warm inside with that tremble in your pants.
Ping Pong balls, razor blades and feather dusters don't even come close to that definition.
I consider it on a par with scat and shit like that.
Not related to sex and titilation in my book. More on a par with degredation and control.
20 years, never volunterily seen.
caveat....YMMV...seek help.

Ping pong anyone?
My 'mate' told me when he went to a show the balls basically fell out on the floor. She either needs bigger balls or a smaller ball shooter. I think bigger balls might be the cheaper option, but then again i hear the Dentists in LOS are very good and well priced

I must be a sick fcuk then, cos i enjoy the shows. I treat it as fun, and give the girls huge cheers, and good tips. I was catching the bananas at one of the shows in patong...bit slimy. I took the Mrs to one in Patpong, and we were both impressed that a thai girl without being able to speak english, can write english very well , while sqatting over a peice of paper with a texter (felt pen) up her fannny.

As a first timer to Phuket, I fell for that guy on Bangla Soi offering me the "best pu**y show" about 6 months ago. I had never seen anything likely before, and I must say that I was totally disgusted by the whole show.
Plus, if you sum up entrance fee, the ladydrink and the tip you'll be asked for, that'd pay for a massage + extras already. Easy choice for me.
Oh and ...
