Police closed Bangla and the sois around 02.15 tonight, may be some VIP in town again, as local police said we had a 3 months grace period. (And then hopefully forgotten)

Bangers is getting shut down earlier just now aswell, we were out the other night, bird decided that we would go to a place called Tunnel, says it normally gets going around 2:30/3 oclock, but we will go a bit earlier, so rock up at 1:30, 6 customers and 20 staff, 2am, lights come on, police outside, time to go home .
Places like this will not survive if they continue to close like this, also Hilary bar, which has always closed at 2am as far as i can remember, was closing at 12 the last few days.
It all gets me home a bit earlier which i guess is good for my body.

We were out on the squirt one night last week in Pootong and when the bars shut down at 2.30am in Dragon it was a case of " aaahh no ploblems, I have heard of place that is always open just out of town called Safari" So off we trundle happy in the knowledge we can drink till dawn there. Arrive 10 minutes later and bugger me if the cops arent already there shutting the joint down ! Ended up over the road drinking in a small bar in the dark and the cops were still there at 4am turning people away so it was off for us too. Seems even the untouchables are having a hard time too.

I also heard it will last for a week, as we have so many high ministers and police from BKK now, I guess its due to the Swedish women killed at Mai Khao beach. Should be back to normal next week.

Still drinking 5am last night
Last night everywhere closed early so me and Geir along with a few others left Dingos and went to a small bar where we know the owner. They stayed open but with music down and lights dimmed.Decided to have an early night and went home at 5am.There were still people about in the streets.
The police that closed Soi Croc are from out of town in para military camo uniforms.
Let's hope this is short term.

As said, we have a lot of high profiles here now, should be back to normal soon.
Ead even commented on one of the police trucks with volunteer police force with army clothes, she said that car belonged to BKK and not to Phuket.

Is closing-time back to 'normal' already? Or still all bar have to close at 2?

last night, the boys made their round shortly after 2:10AM. Actually it's a cool sight, everyone is walking down Bangla. That's what I call a shoppers' market.

A lot of the big inter clubs in BKK, such as BED, Q bar and 808 in RCA have been getting closed before 1am and been really suffering. Surprisingly all of this started around the same time Mr T touched down.
