02:00 what happen ?
Is there anybody, who can tell in German language what happen now at 02:00 o´clock at Patong. There are many people from Austria and Germany who want to know what happen in Pattong now at 02.00 clock. But we don´t speat English so good that we can understund everything. But it is very important to know everything.

someone said be consistant. that really is the key to the whole thing. i have been to other parts of thailand where it has been 2am even 1am as long as it is consistant you can adjust to it. but consistant in patong refers to corruption. only thing consistant is inconsistant here. for me i like the 2am closing. more time in the bedroom.

Hallo patong72,
as this is an english board i think it is not polite to write in a language other´s may not understand. If you have questions send me a pn. I will send you a translation of this in german to your inbox.

I'm not so sure .... there are so many BM's of different nationality - a foreign language section for native languages might be a good idea - after all its a bit unfair to expect everyone to speak English - perhaps a new section for this but for the main board should stay as it is.
On the early closing issue - it sucks and hope that tourists vote with their feet/$$$ and hit these autocrat dictators where it hurts.

Thats good of you - in more general terms though an other language section could benefit non-English speakers.

LB. Forced closings always seems to result in this being a bigger issue with hands going for pockets. Not really sure why.

Even worse tonight. Police in Bangla before 1am shutting places down including Rio and Taipan and what looks like the Mayor? being interviewed by National TV in the middle of the road.

I am coming to vibrant Patong since more then 16 years on a frequency of 3-4 times yearly on average. Reason is to escape the rather dead nightlife scene here at the quiet side of our country.
From time to time I need to reload my batteries and like to party all night long from arrival till departure and mingle with people of different nationalities. I just love it.
There is no single other reason why I come to Phuket these days. Have seen it all, have done it all.
If by the end of april closure of the party places still exists, then I will be on my way to a place like Indonesia or the Philippines VERY quickly.
I want to spend my hard earned Euros by raving and party ! Not by shopping at Jung Ceylon.
Hopefully it is again a periodical event but I don't trust the situation.
I hope to read better news on this board before I arrive in LOS.
Cheers

Its always periodic, have seen it so many times during the last 8 1/2 years.
Today we were ordered to have an empty bar by 02, so the music stopped at 01.30 to leave some time for customers to leave. 02 we closed MTB. And Bangla and Sansabai were crowded again.
At the bar owners meeting today, I didnt attend, but I heard there were talks about arrange a strike again. It did work last time, the governor allowed us to close later while talks being made with Bangkok.
I let you know when I know more.
Meanwhile, just start your night earlier.
