Ahh, but like everyone has said. either start earlier.

or just finish earlier. And head to the room earlier
I found the 2AM ruling ok, We then headed to the dClub, until it was closed by police, usually around 3-5AM.

Also, we were able to continue 'drinking' in the bar i was at, just with no lights, or music.

For everyone who uses the "just go out earlier" argument, I just want to say that its moot for me..

If the girls would come to work in the bars at 1900-2000, I would be going out earlier and home earlier...But as they stroll into the bars at 22-2230ish, the 0200 closings suck..

When they don't get customers, their sleeping patterns will change.

It was a strike 3 or 4 years ago, and it actually worked...............Dont know if and when it's going to happen this time, but I know the discos are pushing for it.
Places like TaiPan and BayaBeach are loosing loads of money at the moment

Yeah, i can imagine the trade has completely dropped off, and it would be very annoying,

Hopefully a strike can work again

Change a bar girls sleeping patterns hey... 555555! Why don’t we stick to simple things like mid east / Israeli relations or fixing global warming! They won’t change. They have not changed one bit. They only thing they do different is whine about no customers. I have spoken to a bunch and they don’t even consider that there is anything they can do to make things better for themselves. They just wait till things get better (or worse).

Didn't Baya only ever push things to about 3am? Or was it 4am? I thought they did ok after about 12 and wouldn't be hurting as much as say Tiger that got most of their trade after the bars closed and the girls moved on.

Does anyone know how Buzz is going? I managed to get one of their wrist bands whilst walking home one night. A great souvineer.

however on it, it states they open from 2AM - 7AM, the ban would shut them down. no?

If there is a bar strike while I am there, I hope there is a "heads up" so I can stock up on beer and bg's.

I come to Phuket to party and have a good time.
I wish to stay untill the morning but I am forced to go to sleep by 2.00am.

And yes, for myself party time starts around 7.00pm not at midnight so to me it is no argument to start going out earlier because establisments are closing earlier.
IMHO it is not fair to target one group of people, those who want to party. Not to mention about the bar- and other dependent business owners who are suffering.
I don't understand. If someone wishes to go back home at 2.00am, he can !
Even when bars closes at 4 or 5.00 am. So what's the whole point ?

By the way, I'm not a teenager but almost 50 and I will definetely go elsewhere if 2.00 am closing time will remain enforced because I still feel like a teenager in a place like Patong !

I am a non-alcoholic, I just like to party ! Is that a crime ???
