Help Needed With Travel Times!

yo, boys.

I arrive BKK 1230am. I need to find a hotel for one night there before I fly to Pattaya the next day. How long is the flight from BKK to Pattaya?

Then a few days stick dippin in Pattaya, then off to Phuket. How should I get to Phuket, air, bus?

Then I leave BKK at 6am. Shoot, way too short, 10 days. Oh well, I'll make the best of it.

Fly to Pattaya??? Jump in a taxi its only a few hours drive

I will take the taxi option in November , roughly 2 hrs on the toll rd route & should cost you 1000 - 1500 bht.

On return i will get a taxi back to Bangkok & fly to phuket from there , either booking in advance by phone or turning up on the day & trying my luck at the Domestic terminal (go business class if i have to)

You can go from Pattaya airport in Bangkok Air but i read already that its a fair drive to that anyway.

Probably just as easy to go via the bangkok route.

Why not fly from Pattaya to Phuket. You avoid the back tracking to Bangkok, and if you take the flight via Koh Samui to get to check out that out as well. Koh Samui is about one of the nicest little airports around.

Ok. So i should stay maybe first two nights in BK. Then go to Pattaya by bus, then fly to Phuket, then fly to BK? Is that right? I don't know the distances and travel times or conditions. Two hours from BK to Pattaya seems long, esp when I have only a few days. Any other faster way to get around.

2 hours from bkk to pattaya is no big deal. Just leave late morning and get down there around midday to check into hotel and have a look around.
everything takes time in thailand - It will take you 45 minutes + just to get from phuket airport to patong beach.
Maybe if you want to save time you could try getting a taxi from bkk to pattaya hotel to hotel. that will save on having to get to the bus station and catch a bus which shouldnt take more than 30-60 mins from most places in bkk. taxi will be more expensive at approx 1500 baht as opposed to approx 90 by bus, and allow a little for skytrain or taxi in bkk to bus station and 20 baht when you arrive in pattaya for baht bus.

Pattaya to phuket by air would be good. I recently went from pattaya to phuket, by catching the bus back to bkk and flying down to phuket. left hotel pattaya 11am, arrive patong beach hotel about 5:30pm. that was with smooth connections and no waiting around. if pressed for time better to fly direct.

hardly anyone flies to pattaya from bangkok , its only 150 kms approx. hardly worth putting an aircraft in the air. also i understand the airport at pattaya is some distance from the town itself.
