I know that it is possible to get Mushroom Shakes in Ko Phangan for the full moon party. Just wondering if there is anywhere in Phuket (a bar or anything) where I could find anything?

Advise if possible.

My name is Zac, I live in Sydney, Australia, and I am going to Phuket, Thailand in 2 days (from the 6th to the 16th) with 4 of my very good mates.
First time traveling without family or relatives. Should be a blast, and by the sounds of this forum, I have chosen the right place to travel.

So, Simbo, do you know anywhere I could find either Mushroom Shakes or Psy-Trance/Goa-Trance clubs/bars in Phuket. As I am still fairly young I would like to make this holiday something to remember

i never cme across those form of shakes in phuket.......
as for the clubs.........bkk is the place for you..........not sure if their are those kind of clubs in patong........

Trust me. You will not need any "Mushroom Shakes or Psy-Trance/Goa-Trance clubs/bars" to make this a holiday to remember.. For a kid in your age, it will be heaven anyway..

I advice you to go to MTB and talk with the guys there.. They will give you some hints about do`s and dont`s.. And about places to party...555

Come on guys - Soi Paradise has plenty of mushroom shakes - perhaps Soi Croc too - take your own straws!

Im trying not to be a stick in the mud, but I coudnt think of a worse place to be tripping out of ya mind than in the madness of Bangala rd. If you are going with 4 mates try and have one not too out of it to look after the others.

No mushroom bars or sources on Phuket like that.. Even the reggae bars rarely get them from wild collections..

KPG will be your only bet for easy finds. The wooden level bars built onto the cliff on the sunrise beach at haad rin made choci ones last time I was there.

if your looking for trance / raves / and that scene as young guys then maybe Samui would fit your needs a bit better than phuket.

there used to be a place on phi phi that did mushy shakes but have not been there since 2003.in patong i doubt you will find them as its not really that in with the youth/gap year/backpacker/hippy market.
KPG as stated before deffo find them,maybe more your scene over there?

Haha, well I guess I'll just have to wing it. See what comes of my holiday. Even if I don't find anything psychedelic, I'm sure I'll have an excellent time in Phuket/Phi Phi, Thanks heaps everyone for feedback and I hope to meet some of you over there.

Bali has special bars tolerated by the legal system.. Midnight oil bars.. Lots of cushions and some very funny / odd conversations !!

yep....from my experiences the mushies come generally in the form of an omelette in Bali....haven't had one for yonks as I have never been able to keep one down!....555

Don't like the taste of standard mushrooms either...funny though can remember walking through the cow fields in summer (in my youth) on the Nth Coast of NSW with a large bottle of soft drink in one hand whilst picking and eating a brace of gold tops with the other....liked the effect but the taste was yuk yuk yuk!!!!!

tryin' to surf afterwards was hilarious!!!
