Live Music at pubs/etc.

Understand that BB's , Pepper's and Nok & Jo's have live music . What can one expect to hear at these places ?

Any other recommendations ?

I had many great sessions in the Coyote Bar! Great atmosphere there too!
Also, there is a great seven piece band in Molly Malones.
Two Black Sheep is also good for live bands.

Classics ? You mean like Anarchy In The U.K., and Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll ?

I was going to say there are a couple of bars with live bands on Sea Dragon.

The Saxaphone place on Beach Road is mainly Jazz. Haven't been for a while but last time they had some really good guest singers.

I think the beer is served in Saxophone shaped mugs.........or I could have just been a bit drunk!

One thing I discovered about Coyote last year....I asked Freddy what time the bar closed at (this was at about 3.30am).
His answer: "whenever you leave!"

God, I paid a price for that session the following day.....!

It's a great bar and I love the live music there! Also a great place to watch the activities in Soi Seadragon!

Joe

Pop down and check it out. Foods not brilliant IMHO but if they have a good band on the mood is good and the beers flow well.

Lots of musical instruments on the wall but they have taken the mouth pieces out in case people like Dodger are tempted to join in!

Doesn't stop me D'man, you should know by now I have always got a few extra mouthpieces, straws, whistles and flutes on my personage, never like missing out on any of the action going down!!!

Saxaphone, does have ceramic saxophone shaped tankards, I like the bit just before you finish your pint when the last few drops shoot out from the end making a little saxophone noise!!!

They have two live bands on there every evening, one plays Jazz the other Blues, so should be perfect for old Jazzbo, the waitresses also wear open toed sandals, how good is that!!!!

Wrong thread there Meeeeeeester Mod Person. There's one about smelly feet somewhere!

I'm still wanting to learn the drums but the owner here at the 'Club' told me I would have about 2 days notice to move. Anywhere vacant up at yours D?

Sort of Jazz drums like! Easy listening.

You northern buckeroos know sod all squared when it comes to a little bit of Saxophone swilling!!! its similar to drinking from the glass boot or the yard of ale, you just have to turn it 90 degrees as it reaches the critical toe joint on the boot, and voila!! 'blue moon, your always stan......

Aye the memories!!!
