Hi all,

Is it required to pay BF each night if I am to spend several days, or a whole week with a BG? Also, would you meet her at the bar she works at every night or somewhere else?

every time i've had a TG that works in a go go or bar i've had to pay the BF for every night ... i took one for 5 day's and paid the last 4 nights BF when i took her back no problem

Depends on the girl and the bar. I would think in most cases Yes you would have to pay barfine each night. Especially in a Go Go. Beer bars might be a bit more flexible.

On my previous trip i spent 2 weeks with the same girl. I paid barfine on my first night. Then for about the next week didnt have to pay barfine, we would drink at her bar for a few hours each night, and most nights we would head off early before closing no problem, to go drink at other bars i like.

During the 2nd week she said it would be good to pay barfine one night which i was happy to do. Overall the bar owners were very friendly towards me, and not the first trip at their bar. So the barfine was not worried except for 2 nights.

I have actually later found out that girls I was staying with were paying the BF out of money I gave them to keep the owner sweet and not give me any problems..

Beer bars will always be that little bit more flexible especially if you are spening wedge in the bar regularly.. However a wise man will be wary of drinking in the bar where a girl works.. Inevitably you are paying for drinks for her frinds and either paying past debts or building up some new credits for when you are gone, it may be cheaper to just pay the bar and drink elsewhere (cheap Charlie rule number 43)

i never went to her bar apart from when i picked her up and took her back to settle up the bar fines. i think she rang up one of the girls in the bar and told them when she would be back

LivinLOS : Yes i think some of the girls will do that with the barfine too. I have no problem spending a few hours a day in my girls bar. I got to know some of the other guys in the bar and normally had a good time. Also i never had a problem with drinks for her friends etc. But they all knew i was pretty careful with my bill anyway.

Maybe we should start a new thread listing all the cheap charlie rules, just a bit of tongue in cheek !

Ancient Mariner: Most girls will want you to meet at their bar.
1. They can keep and eye on you.. make sure no butterfly!
2. You will buy drinks for them... they get a cut!
3. They can talk, eat and drink with their friends!

The usual case its T.U.T.Y. (Teeruk up to you) so do what you like. Some nights i would meet her at her bar early. Some id go out elsewhere and meet her at her bar later. Sometimes we wouldnt go to her bar at all. Sometimes we would spend all night at her bar.... Depends what i was wanting to do!

Bar fines are what help keep bars running, and are an important part of the bottom line. If you think you are getting away without paying the bar fine, think again. If the girl intends to keep working at the bar, then she will be paying the bar fine herself. Your probably not cheating the bar, but the girl.

But how would the beer bar know if the BG simply doesn't show up for work at the bar the next night, or the night after? She could have call in sick or made an excuse and stay with a client instead, couldn't she?

Hi There . . .

Several years ago, I met up with an ago-go dancer from Extasy A-Go-Go in Soi Sunset. I think it is long-since closed down now?

The owner of Extasy was an American guy called John. . . really nice guy and a good manager of people. The first time I took this lady, I paid the Barfine each night for around two weeks.

I returned home to NZ for about two weeks, before deciding to have another couple of weeks back in Phuket. I met up again with the same lady, and she was allowed to stay with me, without any Barfine.

I think John just called it ón holiday for a couple of weeks from the Bar''.

Given this, we would still call in about every second night and have a few drinks.

Does anybody know what has happened to John??? Very nice guy who I last saw 2003, working in / managing VIP.

Spare a thought for us bar owners, after all thats the reason we have BG at the bar to play hostess and get customers to buy drink

Lots of good advice already given here Ancient.

As already said if you go to her bar every night you may have others pleading for drinks out of you , happened to me many times but if you don't want to be highly generous then you can either stay strong and just say no or make it clear you only buy other bg's the occasional drink , keep away from the bell unless you have money to burn

It's best to talk to the owner of the bar if you want to take her away completely , if her barfine is 200 per night you may be able to negotiate a better price with the owner for paying 1 or 2 weeks worth in advance.
so instead of 1,400 baht for 1 week , they may let her go for 1000 but depends on the bar owner and your negotiation skills.

One point to add here though, if you stay 1 or 2 weeks with 1 girl (which is something you may prefer) it is highly likely to turn out more costly than the butterfly way , you will invetiably buy her presents and take her shopping on top of the money you agree with her , on top of that there is other expenses to consider , food ,drinks etc...

Whereas if you take a new lady each night you can then choose if you want to dine alone or sometimes take a lady with you which is something many guys do and overall it will probably not cost quite so much.

Then there is the issue of ''me like you too mutt'' you may then be required to support her finacially from home via your bank account to hers as she nows claims to give up the bar for you and love only you.

Butterflyblonde…actually I’m thinking about meeting with the BG I was with last time I visited. If you have read my first post in the forum, you will know that I got sucker into paying almost 3 times the standard rate for LT (500 BF & 4000 LT times 2 nights). So I would like to be more caution this time around and see if both the bar and the BG still demand the same fee as before, and if they do then I’ll just have to go somewhere else, which is a pity since I really liked that girl, but I do not like to be played like a fool, even if I was.

BTW, what the bell about?

In the case of a beer bar some girls live in the room provided by the bar owner. She also has a dinner provided by the owner for the staff. Usually in my friends cases he also helps with any medical stuff. In this case no matter what time of the day if the girl is with you you should pay bar fine. You can negociate a longtime rate if he's reasonable.
However if it's a beer bar and the girl provides her own room if she goes out to a disco after the bar closes and freelances then I feel you should not pay the barfine.
In a gogo barfines are higher and represent a larger percentage of profits than a beer bar.
The real profit for the bar owner is in cocktails sold not barfines, I believe for a 200baht BF he gets half and she gets half (I could be wrong on this)
