Go Go bars and beer bars in Phuket
Firstly I would like to say what a great site this. I am a 28 y/old (m) Thailand virgin and would really appreciate some advice about Phuket/Pattala. I am only in Thailand for a short ammount of time (2 wks in Dec with a mate) and want to get the most out of it. I would lke to know what are the best beer bars (music etc) and the best go go's (fittest girls). Also I am considering going to Pattala for a few nights, but am concerned that the days will be dull (i've heard its not the most attractive place to go to. But would make the effort if the girls are MUCH better than the ones in Phuket. Also any advice about visiting places in and around Phuket (islands etc) would be great. Thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Some guys on the forum, also like¨Pataya a lot, I am not amongst them!
The prettiest girls are in Bangkok, no doubt about that!
So if it is for the girls you got what ever you need there!
Phuket or Pattaya, well there is some difference. The scene in Pattaya is still stronger, but that all depends on what you want! My opinion is that in every place there are more then enough beauties , you would be able to handle!
Phuket offers the most for me! Many beaches with different athmosphere, quiet if you want it to be quiet, and hectic if you want it to be hectic!
If you want something else then the bar, you have very, very nice excursions.
Similan Island, James Bond Island, Krabi etc. Koh Samui is more "tropical", but at that time the weather is not that great! Nightlife is much better in Phuket!
If it is your first time, then just take a few days in Bangkok, and then the rest in Phuket! If next time you have more time to spend, you can actual visit nice things, like Chiang Mai Ayuttaya, floating market etc!
Bg's are fine, but it is a pitty you would not enjoy the other charms of Thailand!

Hi Charlie B!
Welcome to this Forum, and most of all Welcome to Thailand!
Phuket or Pattaya that's the question!? Two weeks in December is a short time! I guess it's nightlife and girls that draws you the most, right?
Then nothing can beat Pattaya! Thousands of bars and GoGo's with ten thousands of lovely thaigirls! Cheaper than Phuket, but the beach not as nice and the water not as blue compared to Phuket! More beautiful nature and islands around Phuket, beautiful beaches and stunning limestone islands like Pee Pee Islands and Phang-nga bay, and world class divingsites like Similan islands! Lots of nice girls and bars too, but only a few good GoGo bars. Prices are higher down here for example if you take a bargirl for ST(ShortTime) it costs about 1000 baht, and a GoGo-girl about 1500 baht it's almost double for LT(LongTime)! Compared to Pattaya were you will get a bargirl for 500 baht ST and 1000 baht LT, GoGo-girl about 1000 ST and 1500 LT. Beautiful and fit girls you will find at anyplace! If it's pure nightlife and thaigirls I would put my money on Pattaya any time! But if you want a combination of beatiful nature sceneries and nightlife then Phuket is at advantage! Up to you!

In Patong, the following bars are owned by BM's
Mai Thai - Soi Eric
Playschool A-Go-Go - Soi Sea Dragon
Honey Bar - Bangla Road
Bunny Bar - Tiger
Love Bar - Tiger
We just had the inaugural BM bar crawl the other night, and was fun. We may well schedule one every month.

Hi Charlie B!
In Patong beach Phuket only gogo's I can recommend is Hard Rock aGoGo biggest in Phuket, lots of girls between 50-100 or more depending on the season, great rock music too! A much smaller but with cute and funny girls is Playschool aGoGo. Better to go to normal barbeers most concentrated on Soi Bangla, they are all the same you have to find your own favourite. Popular Discos; Tiger, Dragon on the same street, and Safari outside of town(way to Karon) and Banana on beach rd. Good and popular music bars are TaiPan, VIP and the new Rio, all near to Soi Bangla.
In Pattaya there are much more gogo's; I can recommend Living Dolls Showcase, sexy and beautiful girls great shows! Carousel aGoGo also beautiful and fun showgirls, Peppermint aGoGo is another big place loaded with cute girls, Happy aGoGo some of the prettiest girls in town, the list can go on for ever! In GoGo bars in Pattaya, the girls usually dance topless or completly naked, and have all kind of shows from real porn-shows to more sensual erotic dancing! This you will never see in Phuket, were the police control is more strict! If I should pick some normal beerbars it would be Atlantic bar and Buffalo bar great girls have some real ''Stunners''! But with thousands of bars to choose from you can make your own pick! Popular Discos; Tony's, Marine, Exzyte, Lucifer, Palladium and Hollywood, and plenty of more places to choose from!
Another advantage to stay in Pattaya is that it's near to Bangkok, only 2 hours buy bus (90 baht), leaving every hour. So if you want to go and check out some Temples or do some shopping you can go to BKK any time, prefer to stay in Pattaya, cooler and air cleaner near to the sea. Hotels and nightlife also cheaper here than in the Capital. There are also some nice islands with white sand beaches near to Pattaya, Koh Larn just a 30 minute boatride away, and further on Koh Samet 3-4 hours with bus and boat, and Koh Chang next to Cambodia, that the government is trying to make into a new ''Phuket'', good for a few days relax on the beach, although the beaches are not as big or white like on the real Phuket! Even opened a few bars now! Whatever your choice will be you will enjoy Thailand!

more help please
Thank you so much for the information you have shared with me. I am going to be staying in Singapore for a couple of nights and was wondering if anybody knows about the scene out there. Also I would really appreciate some help on where to book accommodation in Phuket. We don't really want to spend more than £20-30/ per night per room. We want to be in a good location. Lastly any advice on which beaches to stay near would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hi charlieb,
Re Singapore, send a private message to "Bafana" who lives there.A really helpful guy who can tell you all you need to know
You can look at the website at the top of the main page here for hotels in Phuket. Its a safe site with lots of good hotels. Also go to a search engine like google, type in Phuket hotels and you will be spoilt for choice. There are plenty in your price range, check with this forum in the accomodation section before booking and you can most likely, get an opinion from someone who has stayed there. Also there are many reports for different hotels, just type in the search section at the top of this page. With regard to beaches,Patong is not the best but its better than most in the UK.Kata,Kata Noi,Karon,Laem Sing and Nai Harn are all really nice, but a good 20mins ride in a tuk tuk into Patong where all the nightlife is.Unless you want somewhere pretty quiet during the daytime, staying in Patong and going to a different beach everyday makes more sense.Enjoy your trip
