Off to the grand palace we went. This time we went prepared. I can't write in words how beautiful that place was. You just have to go and see it. One thing I can tell you is that at the Wat my tilak taught me how to pray to buddha. This is where you take a piece of foil put it around some big round thing.
Then light inscense then pray. Then take a flower and put it in water. If I remember correctly. We spent close to 3 hours there walking around and taking pictures. After our little adventure we went back to our hotel once again for some rest. This nite I had a plan. We were going to go to supposedly the busiest clubs in Bangkok, Hollywood and Dance Fever. So we got dressed up ate our thai dinner under the stars and off we went. You see these two night clubs are big and are literally right next to each other. We decided to head into Dance Fever first. I don't know what it is usually like in there. But on this nite they were having perfomances. There were thai people dancing and lipsincing to popular songs both in thai and english. When we got there the place was huge and just like before we were ushered by a worker and brought us to our seats. We didn't stay there too long because it seemed like it was just a concert or something like that. We left after about half hour. We were just about to go into hollywood but I could not stand the music that was coming from that place.
I am not much of a techno music guy so I really didn't want to go there. So off we went back to patpong to check out the club I had seen there before on soi 4. I forget the name.
Once we get there we find out that it is closed. So we keep walking thru soi 4. For those who don't know most of soi 4 is full of gay bars. So I am walking hand in hand with my tilak thru a bunch of gay guys sitting on the street drinking and I could hear them whistling and saying things in thai. My tilak starts to laugh. After we got thru their I ask her why was she laughing. She told me that they were saying that I was a sexy man with big muscles.

After we went thru there my tilak tells me she wants to go to a ping pong show. I pretend I never went to one before and told her I would take her to see one. She tells me she never seen one before. She does tell me though that she once tried to learn some of the things they did in the show. Like the one where they empty the coke bottle in their p****s, dance around, and pour it back in. She told me the secret was that they put condoms inside or something like that. So we head into one I made sure it wasn't the one I had gone to previously. We went to one that said BEST PING PONG SHOW in BANGKOK. We got charged 300 baht each just for entrance. We go inside to watch the ping pong show which was exactly the same as the one I had seen before for much cheaper. This time though the girls who did the show after they did their thing they would walk around with baskets to collect tips. And if you didn't give any tips they would harrass you. At least this time I had my tilak to protect me. She would tell them that I was a cheap charlie and didn't have any money. We decided to hop into a taxi and see if we could make it to either Qbar or Bed Supperclub before it closed. It was too late so we went back to our hotel.

The next day we went back to Khao San Rd. The reason we went there was because I wanted to get my Tilak something she wanted to get. It was nothing expensive but something she wanted. I cannot say what it is because it might give her away. It could be a watch, could be earings, neclace, a shirt, pants, flip flops. It cost only 500 baht. So don't think it was something expensive it was just something she wanted to have and something I wanted to give her. While we were getting her little present a thought popped in my head. Once again I cannot say what it is because this would totally give her away. This is something that me and her would could do or get together our last day in Bangkok together. It could be matching rings, could be matching piercings, could be matching tshirts, could be wedding bands, could be bracelets, could be tatooes, could even be we got married secretly. Hopefully one day I can tell you guys because honestly this is really romantic stuff. We weren't going to be able to do that till later though. So we left back to our hotel and rested so we could be ready for the night.

That night before we did our thing together. I took her to watch thai boxing fights. This time we went to Rajdamnoen Stadium. This night must've had some special fighters or something because the stadium was packed and was getting really loud the energy of the stadium was awesome. I couldn't believe that the whole time she lived in Thailand she had never watched a live thai boxing match before. She loved it and we had a good time. After we left we started to spar a little bit on the street outside and I accidently nailed her really hard in the face with a slap. She found it sooooo funny.

So off to Khao San Rd. we went to do our thing. One day I will enter this part but not for now. SORRY.

And that was then end of bangkok for us since the next day we had to get up at 5 to make our 6:45 flight to her home. we made our flight and arrived at the airport at around 10:00 a.m. We then had to take a taxi for about one and a half hours to make it to her home. Her hometown was really really poor. The streets were all dust and dirt. The houses were shacks made out of wood. The people were all dressed in clothes that were filthy because there was so much dirt around. Funny thing I was used to this and had gone thru something like this before. You see in high school we went on a trip to guatemala and had to endure the exact same circumstances so to me it was nothing big. Honestly though I don't think many people would be able to handle it.

When we arrived I got to meet her family. Here I could not communicate with anybody. Nobody spoke english. All I could do was do the thai bow and say "Sa wat dee cap." Pretty much the whole town knew there was a falang around once I arrived. Town was very small. You could walk from one end to the other in five minutes. Not much to really say because there was nothing really to do. After her home our next stop was her grandmother's home. Then her uncles home which was in the next town and actually was fairly nice. Here I took the opportunity to call my airline and see if they had changed my flight. I called and they told me that they had been trying to get a hold of me to tell me that I was confirmed for a day later than I was supposed to leave and they said they hoped my friend was doing better. I felt bad for what I did but I did it for my tilak. When she heard the news she was sooo happy.

After her uncles we rode around a little bit and she would stop at houses where she knew people. Everybody would just sit outside and talk. I would go with my tilak to her neighbours, friends and family and sit there and smile because I couldn't understand a word that was being said. I knew that one way I would get the family to like me is if I would eat their food. I know from all my travels around the world that people like it if you eat their food and do not complain. This is where like I said at the beggining of the story is the way to a thai girls heart. So I ate wutever they ate. And I mean wutever. I ate bugs, raw beef, spicy spicy vegetables, sticky rice with my hands I must add. I ate it all. All I worried about was the water. I asked them if the water was good they said yes. I paid for this later. Which I will tell you about at the end.

Another thing I must add is that the toilets here were the tru thai ones. U guys know what I am talking about. The ones on the floor where you have to squat and then take a scoop of water to wipe your ass. Let's say I tried it once and never tried it again. I didn't shit the whole time I was there I couldn't do it.

There was nothing to do at night so we watched some tv and went to bed early. I was awoken to the sounds of roosters and even worse than that was some thai guy speaking really really loud over some speaker fone which laster like 5 minutes. This was all like at 7 in the morning. I have no clue what that was all about. Maybe it was the news or something. That morning they had some festival at the local school. I
think it was some talent show or something with the children which was very cute. My tilak told me that we couldn't be affectionate like we had been everywhere in Thailand. Meaning it was not good if we held hands all the time, or hugged, or cuddled in public. Thai people I think are against things like this, I think they are against public affection, or its not really accepted in the thai culture.

The festival had about 150 people. At the begining they had a blessing with two thai monks they had all the special people in the town sit around in a circle in front of the monks. All of a sudden a lady adds two chairs and grabs me and my tilak to sit down. They did this to show their hospitality. They gave me a present. A pillow. I can't remember what this signifies but it means something special. After that the ladies put these strings around my wrists i got one from each of the women. There were two women. They didn't tie it though. I asked my tilak wut this meant and wut was going on. She said that this is a custom. And that women cannot tie a man's string only monk. And a monk cannot tie a woman's string only another woman and not a man. After that the monk did a little prayer and the childrens did some dancing.

After the festival we went to another town to go to some markets. I wanted to buy her family and friends some presents for being very hospitable to me. I bought her immediate family some gifts in BKK but I wanted to make sure I got everyone something. When we got there everyone started staring. Like they've never seen a falang before. The market was empty I mean there were stores but no people. So we went thru and did our shopping. I would pull my lucky story and they would give me good prices and I bought gifts for everyone.

That night was to be my last night in Thailand. My tilak said she had something planned for us. Just that we needed to pay 600 baht for a taxi which was a neighbours truck for us and her family. I said of course. So that night me and her family took some dirt road to a town nearby. We arrive at some sort of carnival. On a much smaller scale. Back at home carnivals have ferris wheels, go carts, games, etc.
This carnival had one swing for the kids maybe a few shops selling toys for the children, a few food shops, and one game. Where you had to try to pop all the balloons with darts. Me and my tilak tried the game to try and win some prizes for her family. We played maybe three times and only won the little prizes. So instead I ask how much to buy the big prizes and just bought the big prizes and gave them to her family. The main reason for going there was to watch a show. This was a show where they did the thai dancing on stage. It was beautiful, there were many acts. From little children, to teenagers to adults doing different dances and different skits. Each group contained from 5-30 people in a group. That is when I thought in my head there was no other way I could've ended my trip any better than to be with my Tilak and watch a traditional thai show, in her home.

Leaving at 5 the next morning was very sad. This was the end of my trip. My tilak arranged it so she could take the same plane with me to Bangkok then take a flight from bangkok back to phuket while I would go back home. We arrived in bangkok and had an hour before I left she stayed with me right till the end.
We got to have one more meal together before it was all over. After that she walked to where there were only passengers allowed. I tell you guys something. I am totally a guy that does not cry, I didn't cry when my girlfriend of 5 years left me, i never cried when my grandparents died, i didn't even cry when i lost my father. But leaving her she started to cry very much and made me cry to. I remember the security guards watching us and thinking how cute it was. That was the end of my cRaZy time in Thailand. Where I had the time of my life......................... THE END............................

I forgot to add that the ride home was the worst plane ride ever because I had caught a case of the worst diareah i've ever had. I got it from drinking the water. The water was clean they said. But I realized that the way the cleaned it was they boiled it then cooled it down then drank it. I was in the bathroom every 20-30 minuets. It was horrible.

As for where me and my tilak stand. I don't know. I know she is still with her boyfriend. I actually talked to her a few days ago and it seems that they are getting along well and that he is taking good care of her money wise. I think he has given her much money for her and her family. At first I told her I was to come back April for Songkran. But during our last conversation i told I don't know if I am to come. I told her I do not want to cause any trouble between her and her boyfriend since he is taking good care of her. Part of me wants to leave it alone now and get on with my life but a part of me wants to go back and fight for her love.

THANK YOU GUYS VERY MUCH for being patient with me and listening to my story. I am going to stay off this site for a while. I must try and concentrate on my life here at home. I promise that if I do go in April for Songkran I will stop by MTB you guys won't know it's me but I promise to ring the bell....

Wink Hey Mike GB

Hi there . . .

I totally agree! . . .

I really cringe sometimes when I read some of these soppy (and expensive) accounts of trips to Phuket (Patong). When you go to Phuket, you are on holiday . . .

That does not mean that you act naively and pay ridiculous prices to BGs, and whoever happens along. There is a 'going pricé that is set by demand.

This 'going price' can vary depending on the time of year, but I totally agree with Mikegb that all negotiations are treated as a business proposition, and emotions can not be permitted to influence payments.

I have been to Thailand 7 times now, so I am reasonably well qualified to comment on this subject. Most girls in Phuket come from way up north . . . Isaan (Korat) They have families up there that are dependent on whatever money she can send home. (Usually, they also have at least 1 child of their own, to a Thai man as well).

Last year I was asked by a Thai lady that I was with for a couple of nights, whether I would please attend the Court in Phuket Town with her the next day. She was appearing in court on a charge of possession of Yabaa.

You can imagine my answer to that !!!

Whilst I have a reasonable amount of sympathy for most of these ladies, I was told rather sharply last year 'Shhh, you not speak' please', 'whilst úp to the hilt' in a Thai lady when her so-called boyfriend called her from Germany.

It seems that this poor sap was sending her money every month, so that she would not have to sell herself ! What a load of Crap! She told him quite blazenly, in fron of me, that she was sitting in her room, waiting for his next visit.

She used his money to buy herself a new Motorbike and continued to fcuk all and sundry !

These ladies are very alluring, and quite expert in exchanging the hireage of their lovely pussies for as much cash as you can part with.

Just remember, your holiday has a finish date, and after that you return to your own country, and reality, hopefully to save for the next trip.

Cheers

Pdm3

Cheers

Pdm3

that sad but i guess things like this do happen when only money matters......

nice story

It was beautiful it had a beautiful view of Patong beach and Karon.

both at the same time????? would that be possible? I was at the same location during the same period. I reckon this story has a lot of truth and a lot of imagination. There are to many things that don't work out.

But great reading anyway

Have not seen Lion around these parts for a long while......given what happened to him at Xmas, he is probably on a raft in downtown New Orleans.

I had told them I was going away for a few days and they knew I was taking a boat. They though that I had perished on the sea.

Like I said the first thing I did was go back to where I had purchased my phone because I knew I was getting sms messages but couldn't read them because my screen stopped working. To make a long story short I went to the store and they refused to give me a new one even tho the phone was only a week old. I was furious and they had to call security on me to escort me out of the mall because I started reaching over the counter to exchange the phone myself. Before I got myself kicked out of the mall I was told to go to the head office in Phuket town and they had even gave me a map.

I get there and a heavy set thai lady helped me out. I told her wut happened and said she would have to send it to Bangkok and get it fixed it would take 4 days. I didn't want to wait 4 days. So I told her I was going back home to my country the next day. She then told me that she thought I was very cute and that she would do wutever she could to help me. In the end she was able to get me another phone but different model. I didn't care as long as I had a phone to call my Tilak. Funny thing was that when I brought back the original cell phone I forgot to bring the charger. The thai lady then asked if she could come over that night to pick it up. I thought to myself that I would pay this lady back for helping me by letting her come over and spend the nite with me. That thought lasted all of two seconds. I don't think I could have gotten myself up to do it. Wut would you guys do??? Would you do it??? It wasn't meant to be anyway because the new phone I got had the same charger as the other one so I just gave her the charger from the new one.

That nite while eating dinner I had received a phone call from the same number that had called me after the tsunami when I thought it was my main bar girl. This time I asked who it was. It was the girl I had met at Tiger. The salon girl. She told me how happy she was that I was stilll alive and how worried she was when she had heard about the tsunami. She asked me if I wanted to do something with her. I told her yes. I asked her if she wanted to go out drinking in Karon. She then told me that all she really wanted to do was watch a movie. So I agreed. She told me to meet her at Central that nite. We ended up watching the worst movie I think I ever watched in my life. The Polar Express. The only perk to this nite was that I got to watch the movie on a sofa. They had these big sofas which you can get for i think 600 baht for two people. So me and my salon girl cuddled up on the couch for the whole boring movie. U never watched a movie untill you watched one in a theatre on a coach. During the movie, since it was soooooo boring to me, me and her talked to each other. She told me about how she would like to come to N. America since she could make more money over here. She explained how she had a boyfriend before who took care of her money wise but cheated on her, would come home late and treat her very badly. (*Note: I swear every thai girl has like a thousand boyfriend stories and they love to tell them. In my country girls don't talk to potential boyfriends about their exes in Thailand all the girls love to tell their boyfriend stories. It started to get really annoying after a while. I mean if you want someone to like u, talking about an exboyfriend is not the way)

After the movie, I told her that I had a nice bungalow close by and that I would love for her to see it and if she wanted she could stay the nite. She declined saying that she had to work early the next morning. This very much intrigued me I actually found a good girl. So I drove her on my motorbike that nite to her place in Patong.

The next day I hung out with my thai male friends that I had made. As you guys may or may not know after the tsunami the cell phone networks became very hard to use. Meaning that it was very hard to receive phone calls or even make phone calls. The only good thing that came out of this was that phone calls were free to make on your cell phone but they only could last 5 minutes. Well my Thai friends acting as cheap charlies were calling everybody they could from their fones. The even began calling up girls and trying to hook me up with them. They would call a girl up, tell them that this falang that was in town wanted to hook up with them, then they would give me the phone. I would ask my friends if they were suew (Beautiful) if they said no, I would be nice but not talk to them for long. Finally one of them called one up and said this one was suew. So I started talkin to her. She said she had gone home to her family but would be returning to Phuket in a couple days. I told I would hook up with her when she got back. So for the next two days my thai buddies would call her up and I would have conversations with this girl. She would tell me the things she would do for me once she saw me and was telling things like how she thought i was nice and how she liked me. In my head I'm thinking this girl just wants some money from me.

The next day I went to Patong to see the damage. Man what a gruesome sight. The same places that I was suntanning on the beach, the same places I was shopping, the same places I was on the internet emailing my friends and family were all gone or reduced to rubble. I then thought of all the shopkeepers who I had made friends with and prayed that they were ok. I took pictures to show people back at home the destruction that took place and to show them how lucky I was to survive this catastrophe. They were pulling dead bodies out of Ocean Plaza, many people were rummaging through the mess to see if they could find money, clothes, shoes, watches or anything valuable. I tell u this was a very very sad thing to see.

That nite I was determined to take my salon girl home to my bungalow. So before I dropped her off at her home, I had asked her if she would join me for dinner the next nite. She agreed. So that nite I told her I would like to go somewhere nice and that I we could go to a nice restaurant in Kata since there was many places there that were not damaged by the waves. We would drive by places and she would say she didn't want to go because there were too many people. So I said ok is there somewhere u know where u would like to eat. She told me there was one in Rawai Beach. So I drove all the way down there and it ended up being destroyed.

After a hour and a half of driving we ended up on a restaurant on a hill near Kata beach man was my ass sore. At dinner I let her do wut I usually did with my #1 girl. I let her order for us and told her she could order wutever. (*Note: No matter wut a thai girl says or does they love, i mean love to eat they will eat anything and most eat a lot too.) My main girl who I will now call my tilak from now on. Would admit to this but when we did eat she didn't eat that much. But this girl man she ordered lots and then somemore. I don't know maybe she wasn't used to guys taking her out for dinner or something but man she ordered crab, lobster, fish, soup, chicken, pork. I couldn't eat as much as she did but my god did she eat a lot. She wasn't a heavy set girl tho. She had an innocent look to her, and was very cute, she even dressed very sophisticated.

After dinner, I then asked her if she wanted to watch another movie, she agreed thats when I said "Why don't we watch a movie in my bungalow, I have many dvd's." She agreed. That nite we watched a movie and it felt like I was gonna get nowhere with this girl. I tried a couple times to kiss her but to no avail. I started to give up. After the movie. I told her that I was going to lie down in the bedroom and asked her if she wanted to join me. She agreed then lied down, told me I had to take her home at 5 a.m. and she proceeded to fall asleep. I was like F**K ME, wut a waste of time. So I went to sleep too. In the middle of the nite I woke up and for some reason thought that my tilak was next to me. U see sometimes in the middle of the nite one of us would wake up, most of the time me, and we would start to go at it in the middle of the nite. Well thinkin it was my tilak I started to kiss her, one thing led to another and BOOM BOOM we went. Honestly u could really tell she was a good girl by the way she made boom boom since she wasn't very good at it, it was probably the worst I had gotten while I was in Thailand. We went back to bed then I had to wake up at 5 a.m. drive 30 minutes to get her home then drive another 30 minutes back. I thought for sure i was goin to fall asleep while driving and crash. Luckily I didn't.

to be continued lots i mean lots more to come....
