Sorry : HIV Again

I know this is a a topic that concerns most punters. Allow me to relay a story I know to be true.

I know a farang who has a business in Patong. He had a thai girlfriend who was a great assitance in this business. He decided that to make the whole business run smoother he would marry this Thai girl. Anyway, he decided that a thorough check-up at the doctor would be a good idea before he married. She tested HIV positive. Amazingly after un-protected sex for 12 months he was still negative. The doctors said this is because her viral load was still low even though she had had HIV for some 3 or 4 years. The reason I bring this to your attention is to highlight that more women in Patong are HIV positive than you think and there are a lot of variables in regard to contracting HIV. Just because you stick your member in unprotected, doesn't mean you are condemned to the HIV death march. It's a bit more complicated involved than that. Trust Me!!

I have also commented that I know a couple in holland and she tested positive 4 yours into their relationship.. He was still negative.. 4 years unprotected regular sex and still no infection (and her CD4 had dropped and viral load went very high.. Thats how they found out)...

His doctor told him that if its not sub saharan strains that unprotected vaginal sex with an infected person had a 0.002% (2 thousands of a percent) chance of female to male transmission, he said thats was on the condition of 'non violent' sex with no broken skin by either party otherise the odds nose dive..

Basically female to male transmission by vaginal sex is a lot lower transmission ratio than many believe..

Very True

Make no mistake, i use to worry when a condom broke. Going in bareback in Patong is a risky game. But if your pissed up and you do the wrong thing, don't panic. The odds are still in your favour.

Yes but you could be that unlucky person who does catch it, I am not one to talk though as I have gone babeback with one of the Bgs I was with on my last trip after a few condoms broke, And even though it was great at the time and I never thought of the consequences of my actions, But believe me you have plenty of time to think it over in the clinic while your waiting for the results(By the way mine where clear). So although you only have a slim chance of catching it, Its still a chance and one which I for one will not be risking again but each to there own.

Its all about luck. well sort of..this is what happened too me..

I had a realtionship with a TG, and on my 2nd visit i went back and we shagged without a rubber everyday for 2 weeks constant. I thought to myself what the heck am i doing, i said to myself if she has it then so do i so just carry on and enjoy it whilst i am here.

Then i went solo for a week in pattaya and hit the famous soi 6..my god i was bonking 8 times a day and the condom split on me at least 3 times..
this area has a bad reputation and somone told me once HIV is rife in Pattaya.
My god I was petrified but then thought only got myself to blame.

When i got back home I went to the clinic for an HIV Test only to be told i have to wait 3 months for the infection to get into the blood stream. thats if i have it..Then when i went back i had the HIV test done and waited another week for the results. This was the worst time of my life i prayed everyday and though i was going to get it..

Anyway, the point i am making is whether the condom breaks or u decide to go bare back its all about luck. bit like russian roulette!!!!!

and by the way i was negative thank god!!!!!

Having an HIV test is the most frightening thing i have ever done... i spent time in LOS and was shagging BG's left, right, and centre. I always wore a rubber, but a few broke. At the time i was'nt worried, just had the attitude that i was doing everything possible, so carried on. It was'nt till i got home (after 7 months away) that the thought of possibly having the virus started to play on my mind.. I decided to get checked out, so went down the GUM clinic and was tested. I only had to wait a weekend and it was awefull...nerve wracking. The thought of waiting any longer would have been ghastly.

Everything was fine...thank god (or Bhudda!).

Its a matter of weighing it all up....if you do everything you can (use condoms), and still get it your mighty unlucky.

I only had a broken condom once, and it was one of the only time I did not bring my own!

I did not pannic. If this happens with a girl who does never go bareback (and of course, you never know for sure) and doesn't allow a man coming in her, you should be ok!

But I always bring my brand that never let me down!

I have been to Patong 3 times a year since 1995 and have used less condoms than times I have visited. Touch wood have only had 1 non specific urithritis in all this time. Have twice yearly checks at home hospital and all clear and doctors here have confirmed that male/female ( not LB ) vaginal sex is very low risk. Must admit now use UK bought condoms as I must have used up my 9 lives by now. Life is a risk but so is crossing Rat U Tit Road at 9pm.

Tonight after our diner in a local restaurant, the babysit was sleeping.

This young woman 25 caught aids from her first sexual intercouse some years ago.She is a neighbour. Some would say it is irresponsable to take care of our kids, when we go out!

She manages, she got some ups and downs.....Difficult.

If people are saying that it is a risk like driving a car, I cannot agree. This girls firs love-game gave her the fatale disease...

just think twice, it is not only happening to others....

That great basketbalplayer, whas it magic Johnson or the other one got it from a prostitute...

Just wear the hat at any times it is a stupid death, when you can avoid it...

i can not condem any one for gong bare back, last april i also went for the HIV tests,i also had to wait three months and after lots of worry and having to wait an extra day because the first test was none conclusive i wasgiven the all clear.
well i went back at December as you all know condom broke then full of grog went bare back, caught a dose f some thing horrid, had to see the chemist man,was given loads of tablets to take and lucky for me it cleared up.
but what i am saying is no one is free of risk, when you spin that bottle of life you never know where it will stop.
just wish i could take my own advice at times ,but once the beer is flowing i tend to forget.

Dancing with doctor death is a part of the deal in Thailand. If you aint willing to do the time, dont do the crime. Mind you, the time is a fair stretch. But fear not evil doers, the long awaited cure will be here in our lifetime. If your over 50 time may be running out though. Aint life a *****, you have too much money anyway and drive prices up for us young virile players.

Thanks for the reminders, guys. In this amazing place, this hell of sin and heaven of pleasure, it is so easy to lose perspective, so hard not to give in to temptations thrown in one's way. God have mercy on all of us(especially me). We need it.

Mr Monkey

Yes the stress involved with refraining from bopping the bishop is intense. Mr Monkey is a keen player in any one's language. He loves to be spanked, and spanked hard. He isn't too social either is Mr Monkey, not a very sociable fellow at all. But is full of recountable stories. He's my hero!!

Cool Truth or fiction

Sometimes I wonder if all the stories of Asia and Thai being so full of aids in heterosexual girls is totally true. What makes me wonder is I have been going to Thai on and off since 94 and if you go to the regular places each time you get to know some of the faces, even if you don’t take them and I continue to see the same faces looking in the same level of health each year. If it is so prevalent in Thai I would think that each time you go back some of the regular girls may be not still be alive or would look to ill to work. I do not know, is this a rumour spread by the do gooders to spoil our fun. And from reading what has been said here there are a few that either regularly go bare back or continue when the dunlop breaks. So why aren’t heaps of bm testing positive?
As TT said it was the girl that got the shitty end of the deal.
Either way it is a big gamble, but I do like those juices coming down the shaft.
Guess it is up to the individual.
Steveski

Sorcerer: Get a clue. it is well know that men sread the disease to women easier than the other way around. Posts like your seem to minimize the risk of catching AIDS. Don't be a fool and give others a false sense of security. Stop making posts like that.
USE A CONDOM EVERY TIME!

my GF knows some former BGs who got AIDS and are now back to their village waiting for death. All big cities have some WATs in the outskirt, where aids infected thais are living

@the mook... The longest 'incubation period' before HIV antibodies are found and detectable by tests is approx 3 months, usually 4 - 6 weeks.. I suspect you are confusing the classification of AIDS from HIV which really is just a category of how far the immune system has broken down and how high the viral load has got (CD4 below 200 IIRC)..

All that Sorcerer posyed were FACTS about the situation and common misconceptions (such as your own it seems).

The HIV rate amoung young women undergoing pre natal screening here on phuket is <2.5% IIRC..

As someone who is planning his first trip to phuket in april, I can honestly say that the AIDS issue is something that I am seriously worried by to the extent that it puts me off going!

I was with my last girlfriend for 3 years and always had to wear condoms and i've lost count of the number of times that even durex split on me, and that was when I was sober. Ive done so much reading up on this subject and maybe the odds are on my side. That said, I know that if a johnny was to split on me, i cant even imagine how shit scared id be for the next six months til i could get tested. I pity all those who have been through this experience. Of course, Bg's arn't the only attraction for me to come to phuket, there is so much more that appeals to me. But I honestly think that when I do come, I will of course visit bangla road and MTB in every evening but I won't be taking any girls back purely because of the AIDS fear.

Anyone else feel this way? I doubt it!!!!!

How do you guys go through life so fearful ??

Live life to the full.. We all die one day, the trick is to live life to the full until that final moment..

I would rather live one year in full confidence and enjoyment than for another 50 too afraid to **** a beautiful woman !!!
