Do you mean 5 shots, or 5 visits to the table ??
There is a big difference and in my opinion it is a very stupid bet, as any reasonable player can clear the table in 5 visits which will mean he loses 1,000baht (what is it with these eejits that keep typing "bath" ??) without even visiting the table. Now, I doubt if any good pool player is that stupid, so....thinking about this a bit more, it's definitely a hustle and it's worth steering well clear of !!

I actually play pool for a pub team. About two months ago I was playing ken doherty's brother and he cleared seven balls off the table in one visit and just left the black so I kept on snookering the fu*ker and ended up winning the game, Anyway any good pool player would beat this fella but how many people would be drunk in the bar? Or could not handle the pressure and end up ****ing up there shots, And then this fella would possible only need one visit to the table and the game is over as has been done to me before .

Is the sting in the definition?
Been thinking about this so would offer the following
Depends on how you define clearing the table - does it include leaving the cue ball on the table after your final shot or do you have to also pot the cue ball with your final shot in the same way as you can playing traditional UK billiards?
I can see arguments that if you leave the cue ball on the table that the table isn't "cleared".
Maybe you play great pot the balls and walk away think give me the money honey, then he wals up and pots the cue ball for a simple win?
Who knows!!!!!

Giving the opponent any number of shots-ahead or balls off the table is the easiest scam in the book when it comes to 8-ball. It only makes it easier for him to get the lays for his shots.
Play with handicap instead. Play best of five (or whatever #) games, where you only have to win one game to win the match. Even better if you play 9-ball...

Hi all, i saw him play in three different bars, once in patong, again in karon and two day later in kata.
in patong he won for sure 50000,00 bath, he start playing at 19.00 hours until 2. i was there for 4 hours and he only lost "1" Game.
in karon he won about 30000,00 bath , he lost about 5 games.
in kata he won about 20000,00 bath - here he lost the most games.
he gave everybody 5 shoot ahead - you brake 1 shoot, you sick a ball still 4 shoot left, you miss 3 sahoot left and so on.
if you only have 1 ball left you do not get the chance to see your ball again.
he allways played perfect snooker - you make a foul, and he has two shoot.
do to that there a only his ball on the table he clear a view and put you on a snooker again - you miss your shoot and there he goes with his now 2 shoots and chloses the game.
he was far out, a real proffesional from england, played for 25 year.
he is not here anymore, he travel with his mobilehomecar througt thailand.
I never saw a better player.

One of my mates is an ex pro snooker player.. I dont think he would ever need 5 turns at the table to clear so would be very hard to lose in this arrangement.
