Phuket Nightlife

My mate has just arrived in Phuket and, before he left, I recommended the Blue Lotus pub on Soi Bangla as a good place to kick off the evenings. However, he just texted me to say he can't find it. Told him it was next to Shipwreck but he says the bar there is called Cheap Charlies. As some more mates of mine will be going out next month, just wondered if anyone could fill me in on what happened to Blue Lotus or has it just changed name. He also said Scruffy Murphys was closed so that was my recommendation for live music down the pan too! Guess I'll have to keep the day job!

Scruphy Murphys is waiting for the insurance money to come through. About a week ago they were doing some work in there. I have heard that they are planning to move the music upstairs?

Cheap Charlies and Moon are now located on Bangla so I guess that Blue Lotus has gone !

They changed name (and owner?). Before it was "Blue Lotus" now its "Cheap Charlys".

owner and name chnged and the bloke who used to work as dj there now works under tiger complex,cannot remember name of bar but it is near the back alongside side walk.a few of the girls still there tho.

yes,i think it is the Paradise bar the owner an British gay hired his crew
from diffrent bars at bangla

Another one bites the dust; I have a lot of memories from the Blue
Lotus.

Maybe I am just an old fart but things change too quickly sometimes...
