Picky Stunners
I just finished my first tour in Dec-Jan. What exactly is going on with the BGs who DON'T tell me I'm a handsome man, one drink please? I've sat down in a few bars with some hotties who completely ignored me, and sometimes just walking around I get no greetings from the ladies I'm interested in. Of course the less attractive girls are outgoing (and sometimes the hotties, too), but the best looking girls appear to be less flirtatious. I don't know if it's me or if that's how the stunners do things, wait for men to come to them.
I'm guessing that they don't like my looks, whether I'm unattractive or just look like I'm not a potential husband/sponsor, I don't know. Last I was there, it was peak high season, so I sort of suspected that the girls were being picky because so many falang were about. I'm about to go back to LOS in October, and I am interested to see if I get more attention from the stunners with less BM to choose from. One theory I had was that the girls aren't that interested in just getting the money for the evening as they are in finding a longterm husband/sponsor (this seemed more true in Phuket than Pattaya, BKK), so that's why they are picky? wouldnt you rather have it that way. wouldnt you rather know the girl likes you, not just your money. i mean, you are gonna pay in the end, regardless, but i always go for a girl that shows interest in me, even if i know ill have to pay

If you are really interested in a particular girl, show some interest yourself too to get things start going. Many girls wait for customers to show their interest first, so they dont need to "loose face" by approacing a man who is not interested in them.

For that matter, is just being a bar girl a loss of face? It doesn't seem to be, as I suspect most working-class thais wish they had that kind of money...

Hi Bigsquat & welcome to the board.
Nicke has a good point and he should know as he's owned Mai thai bar for quite some time now. They can lose face and yes there is a difference between walking past and saying no thanks......to.... sitting down in a bar then giving a girl the brush off. These girls often make friends in the bar with the other girls, almost like sisters and sometimes have rivals in their bar too, If they approach you, then you refuse to buy a drink or show interest then they can look stupid in front of their friends. It would be taken that you don't think she is attractive etc.. Some are usually preoccupied with watching the street and the general goings on or chatting with friends so don't take it as an insult. We have probably all been ignored at some point regardless of our looks. I would say that high season had a big part to play he here..more farang to choose from = girls becoming more choosy, there is nothing these girls like more than to catch the kind of guy that really appeals to them and then show off to their friends. I would think these same stunners will have a different attitude towards you come September. Don't forget that stunners can quite often have sponsors sending monthly payments so they can pick and choose to go, if they want & when they want. If they don't like you, they could raise the price a little but I would not expect this to hapen so much in low season. Finally..Bangkok and Phuket..IMHO ..I do find the girls in both of these places can be a little picky, pattaya not so picky OTOH, but each place has it's own merits. I'll say something thats been said many times b4 ...a very nice warm smile to the girl will usually attract the attention of even the coolest of ice maidens. When I went down to Tijuana the first time a few years ago, I went to a club(you know what kind of club
) I started out by having a few beers. Another guy from the US was there so we started talking. After a few beers I was ready for some action and had noticed 1 stunner nearby. I wear glasses(slightly nearsighted with a stigmatism) but did not have them with me and the bar is really dark so I had to check the ladies out for a while but I knew that this one was definitely hot. Said goodbye to my new friend, got up and started walking through the crowd towards the girl. Before I got to her, someone started talking to her and off she went. This proceeded to happen 3 more times with different ladies that I was interested in. I could not believe it, I was striking out in a wh*re house!  I am not Brad Pitt but I am not Quasimodo or the Phantom of the Opera either so I was trying to figure out what was up. It was about 330 in the afternoon by then and thankfully more ladies were coming to work. My new friend was laughing by now so I finally decided to walk over to where most of the ladies were standing. I noticed a cute, relatively tall lady in a pink sweater and thought that she was probably pretty nice looking so I hurried over to talk to her and get a better idea of what she looked like as she was in a very dark part of the bar. What I finally found was a stunning surprise. While she did not speak much english, we were able to get by and later had some nice nights out in TJ dancing, dining and going to the movies. She was beautiful to look at and in bed she was great and even liked a**l. I had a great month with her until she went home to Guadalajara. I hooked up with some of the other stunners later on that I had seen that day and none were as good as her.The moral of the story is that it might take a while but one of the stunners will want to go with you, especially in October. This girl was really happy to have me with her and her attitude made all of the difference. I finally made the choice to be more proactive about getting a girl and it worked out well. As everyone has said you must approach them as BG's will lose face if you turn them down. Maybe some of the stunners on your previous visit already were hooked up with a BM and were just waiting for him to show up at the bar. Good luck in LOS in October and don't give up. Sorry for the long winded story. Hell, if all else fails, drink them pretty at night and don't turn on the lights in the morning until after they leave.

Feeling pretty smug, sort of george cluneesque, brad prittish, thinking heh I've never been turned away by a stunner in LOS. Then I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the monitor and came back to earth, now I'm sad with the realization that I probably havn't been with a stunner. Mental note "Another box to tick on next tour", damn my list is getting longer everyday I read this forum.

Hi fellows,
I would like to ask a question and I have been looking at the other posts and threads but never seen info about this. For example upon my arrival, I make my way to MTB to pay a visit to Nicke and the present BM, on my way let's say I get pulled into an other bar and stay there for a beer or two... Let's say I find I BG so attractive that I somehow barfine her for the evening... Now my question is, do I have to refrain from paying a visit to MTB or can I just bring the lass along? I ask this because when I was there I never saw a farang take the lady to an other bar, there was always the bar's bgs and farangs. At least I never saw guys comming with girls to a bar, thou I saw many comming with girls to clubs such as banana and tiger. I could say that eventhough the place was full with guys, there were loads of girls, no deficit of girls whatsoever, not at the bars and not at the clubs either. I was only once at a gogo bar with my girlfriend and for the record that wasn't my idea and I think there were about 2 other guys and about 15 girls... The girls were surprised, I was surprised and even the old timer at the entrance was surprised when we came in... They didn't even have a restroom for ladies at the place which reveal how rare female visitors are at those bars...  what I regret the most is being stupid  for not suggesting a threesome and I think it would have been great to mix latin, european and asian in one bed 55555  Thanks for the attention.

Thanks for sharing your experiences Diz, dang! I saw on the members arrival thread you'll be departing on November 19, it would have been fun to have had a beer with you. Well, I don't mind if a girl don't wanna come along as for me any girl with a short skirt will have my absolute devoted interest and attention
 and I'm pretty certain there will be plenty hohoho.. I would also like to know if it's possible for a poor little new user like me to post pics or is it just for the senior fellow members? Thanks guys, you're the greatest!

I take them with me to where I drink. I dont know if this is right or wrong. I prefer to spend my money where I am comfortable and Nicke and G are always good hosts from my experience so I am happy to drink at these places if I have a lady with me or not. Why should I drink some where else if I am with a girl?
Maybe they like to stay drinking at their bar as their drinks are counted as lady drinks and they get their commission, is this right guys, Nicke G? I would think that even though you may not take one of their girls and their bar does not get the BF at least it is better if you drink there (maybe 2 drinkers) as opposed to going somewhere else? If I am off track here please let me know. Thanks

There is nothing wrong by bringing a girl around.
I think I sometimes have more girls from other bars drinking in MTB than who work for me. So this is common and accepted.

A lot of the girls only like to drink at their bar(where the make money for the drinks), or at a bar where some of their girlfriends or LB friends work. But they all like to go to the discos(except for one I went with a year ago who couldn't dance! Can you imagine a Thai girl who can't dance? I sure can pick 'em!

As far as getting turned down by stunners, it happens to all of us sometimes, even the young, good-looking guys will on odd occasions get turned down by a girl who doesn't like young guys(I haven't met one yet who turned down guys because they were good-looking!), or also because the girl is waiting for her BF to show up. Sometimes they will even flag you down, and get you to buy them drinks, but then when you want to BF them, the truth comes out that their BF is coming later, or they are going to his hotel later.
But, I look at it this way. If every guy only went with a stunner, there would be a lot of girls who would go broke, and a lot of guys who would go home alone most nights! That is not why the girls come to Patong, and that is not why the guys come, either! After you have had your share of stunners, I think that you will find that it is more important how you feel about the girl, how she feels about you, and whether you hav a lot of fun together that is what counts the most, not whether the girl is a stunner! Well I guess it's human nature to hit on the hottest girl at the bar and that's pretty much what happens so it stands to reason these girls have no shortage of potential customers for the night.
If on the other hand you have shagged a number of these little princesess they can be a right pain in the ar*e if not handled correctly which requires a certain amount of effort. At the end of the day are you looking for an average shag from Miss Thailand or a really good time with someone who makes you feel a bit special.

less picky in low season
when times are good the stunners are hard to get, (me not being handsome or rich) but many of the regulars here will vouch for the low season bonus.
in bkk last trip i made the mistake of understanding 3 cute girls talking in the dollhouse soi cow. i fancied 2 of them and would have been happy with either, but when i laughed at the description 1 gave of last nights customers small appendage. they looked at me, i had committed the ultimate sin i could understand some thai language, thus i was not a high earning option for top looking girls.
