Phuket Nightlife

I had a great week in Phuket in mid July. It was low season and the bars were fairly quiet. It was great going out quite early to take my time and make a good choice. A couple of the agogo bars I went into I was the only customer-which was great. But what's it like the rest of the year? I want to come again in September. Is it going to be the same, or will it be so busy that all the good ones get taken early??? And what's it like in January.
Man, I'm desperate to come back! I've got withdrawal symptoms, and it's pretty much all I can think about!

Welcome to the club! Withdraw symptons are normal! Better after a week or so!

September is very quiet, will be same same but different.

The season starts by November, every week more and more people. Then it explode during the x-mas holliday! Honestly Patong is packed then! Too much for me honestely, but of course it gets so crazy then, that for a night out it can be very suprising!

After the holiday, it slows down a bit, to reasonnable levels, but the season goes on till about April, when everything really start to slow down more and more.

No one really knows anymore how busy things are going to be. September will be quiet, and January well we all hope will be busy, but it will definitely not be a normal high season.

There is a "slight" difference. In Europe the 19th hole means the clubhouse/bar/pub and drinking, while for the Thais the 19th hole is deffinitely not drinking but... a place where they use their putter.

Now, bookings are increasing, mostly from Singapore, Hong Kong... but there are also many promotions in Europe for Phuket, so let's hope the high season will be great.

The BG's should post their pic on this forum with a little comment "I wait u hansum man"

Guys nobody really answered Jack 1234's Q re the availability of "the good ones" at Xmas and New Year........as l never have been to Phuket over Xmas (last year in Bkk) l was wondering the same thing !!!

I guess it will be every man for himself, But I would say there will be more girls there over the Xmas/New Year period..... Only time will tell whether Quantity = Quality

I not worried though, I think I will find something to my liking

I will be just doing what I normally do any other which is "I dont talk about money"... If you do this then you dont have to worry about paying 1500bt but you still might get stuck with one your not overly keen on for 1000bt...55555..

Personally I like low season. I have travelled to the LOS at high season and the 'crack' (no pun intended or implied!!

) is fantastic but I can find it a bit over-powering sometimes. Music totally cranked up to conversation killer levels, more debris in the streets and less of the 'happy' drunks like me around.

I like to wander around in low season and do my own thing and have never had a problem finding the dream girl I desire for the day or night (Yes, I do butterfly) I only need 14 girls on a two week stay anyway!!

and there will always be plenty to go around. I'm not going to quibble over 500 Baht either, you can spend that on two hours parking at Heathrow!

Enjoy! There's 50 other weeks to be miserable in.

I am a low and mid season kinda guy also.. The benefit of being a resident is when high season gets too much you can always head to Nanai and you dont have to feel like your missing out or wasting your vacation days..

I REMEMBER LAST XMAS AFTER THE TSUNAMI..........ME AND MIKEE USED TO BE MESSING WITH A LOT OF THE CHICKS.....MAN SOME OF THEM WERE LOOKING FOR 2K AND SOME WERE EVEN LOOKING FOR 3 K.....THESE SAME CHICKS.WE OFTEN SAW THEM GO HOME BY THEM SELVES..........
