tiger v banana club

went to banana club and tiger club for first time in feb 2003.

the banana club was small and full of european people that could not dance but thought they could. went to the tiger club which was three times as big and that had a varied type of people, some europeans and lots of thai women single and the atmosphere seemed better. had a quit area for a chat and the dance floor area. the only problem with the tiger is going out down the stairs and the last stair thats not straight , if ypou don't take care your miss with one foot and twist you ankle. yes thats what i did. tha next night i saw a few do it also, so it wasn't just me.
this is a picture of the tiger in the day time and you can see the stairs on the right side of the picture

Hi Baz,

I hope it didnt put you off your shagging rhythm !!!

When I was last there, they had big wind generated figures about 2m tall blowing at night. I always thought Tiger was ok. Busy, and a piss take with the drinks, but a good club.

Banana? Shit house. Me and Titan went there. We waited AGES to get a poxy expensive drink, and the place was full of european arseholes who thought they were great swinging their pants.

Me and Titan used one free drinks token each, then gave it to the only Thai girl in the place. Banana club is for European monkeys.

Tai Pan (old days), VIP (IMHO this place played good music), and a couple of others were good when the Shark was gone.

I personally thought that the BEST music (even when Shark was about) was the Boat Bar, in Royal Paradise Complex. I think most if not all people on this board know my sexual preference (1.Layboys 2. Bar Girls 3. Dogs 4. Falang girls), BUT i am not a gay bloke. The Boat Bar is a gay disco, but the music is fantastic, the service from the staff is excellent, and NOT ONE gay man came to chat me up (am I that ugly ?????????).
The ladyboys are no problem and I know for sure, that if you are not gay, then the 'boys' leave you alone. I have taken many 'non gay' friends around the Royal Paradise area (there is a fantastic health club in the centre) and none of them have felt threatened (except my friends Robert, but I think he is a secret homosexual. HI Robert. Hope to see you soon )

If you have an open mind, then for a change, the Royal Paradise area is excellent. 2 new bars from the owner of Tangmo Club are Boom Boom and Tangmo2. Boom Boom has GOOD singers ( I have played in bands for a long time so I know a bit). Tangmo 2 has GOOD free cabaret and a go-go dancer section (its boys so be prepared!!).

Boy do I miss Patong!!!!!!!!.......................

Banana is great if you wanna dance as its (in general) harder dance music (which I like). Yes its full of dodgy euros and large groups of hilarious japanese who love jumping in the air shouting "HO HO HO". Still, theyre having fun and on holiday.

If you want freelance action then Tiger is best. They circle like sharks in there but some v good looking LBFMs. I started getting recognised a bit too much in Tiger so gave it a miss for ages. Should be OK now ;P

VIP - always seems quietish on the girl front and full of Italian men. Like an episode of the Sopranos in there

Thaipan - I don't like the music much but its usually ok fun. A lot of the girls seem to like it tho.

We shall see how Star Wars affects them all?
