Buffalo Bar, http://www.buffalobar.com/ is Ok open air bar,
Tim's Bar on second road is good for older music with film clips, night only dead as in the day time.
I personally am not a fan of walking street, or south Pattaya as it is known, a bit cold and very business like and expensive for my liking but others love it.
There are so bloody many bars in Pattaya couldn't say that i had one or two favourites, different places for different times of the day really and also do you prefer open air or enclosed bars. Some of the Go gos get up to more raunchy stuff than the open air bars and they are more expensive but you do get to see before you hire, stretch marks whether they have a gut etc a the girls can dress very well to hide any imperfections shall we say in the open airs. Myself I prefer the open airs where you can talk to them a bit but we all know what they say “up to you”.
Don’t forget about Lolitas near Areca lodge for a good BJ bar.
Some Brits and Americans meet at the Sugar Shack on one of the Soi 13s, thee is 13,1 13,2 and 13,3 I think. Usually have a beer or two etc there and they head out for the night. Tom an American is one of the owners and is a good bloke, small selection of girls there though but a laid back atmosphere and they organise golf days etc, can get you food as they have menus, they used to organise the odd BBQ where they would take you and TG if you have, out to one of the close little islands and put on BBQ food and beers etc, was a good day when I went but not sure if they still do this.

I personally like the Hot Tuna pool complex there's a really good party atmosphere in there and it's just across the street from Lucifer's which is also great albeit a bit expensive. (150 baht Singha) I think a beer in Hot Tuna complex is between 60-80 baht which is very reasonable. Last time in Pattaya we found a beer bar with bottles of Chang for 30 baht and a pool table. Perfect place for a day time drink. It was on Second road up towards Shenanigans. Pattaya is great

I would say 1500bt (Including BF) would be more the minimum......
Actually you can even get LT prices for 2000bt, 1500bt if you haggle but why bother....

I really can't remember the bars name steveski. Its before Shenanigans on the same side of the road as you walk from Soi 10 side of Second Road. They had a sign outside and the only reason I ended up in it was I was looking for somewhere to drink on some day when you weren't supposed to be drinking (Middle to end of July?) and seen ppl drinking in there. After I found out the Chang was 30 baht that bar was my daytime watering hole from then on. It was a big enough bar at the end of a row of beer bars around the same street as Dynasty Inn if that helps at all. Sorry I can't be more specific

Really not sure Ally. Spent two weeks in Pattaya but never really got used to all the Soi's. I hit Pattaya 29th December again anyway so I can post then when i find out. There was a stage with poles on it but the bar didn't have doors or windows so you could just see straight in from street, maybe that narrows it down.

there's so many good bars in pattaya that you need to be in the right mood to go to different ones, personally at night i like the classroom on pattaya land 2, abbies bar on walking st, and i always end up in JP bar till ealy morning thats just off walking st, hot tuna is good to but you always get to many thais trying to sell you things and begging which can get a little bit annoying, in the day time i like to go up soi 6 and have all day sessions, the only thing is you end up having 2-3 ST's which isn't a bad thing, also Lolitas is good in the day time loads of girls and a nice air conned bar, soi 7-8 are good all the time no matter what time of the day, i don't think these sois close as long as there selling beer, no one can say about prices as ppl pay differnet, i always give the girls 1000 baht on top of bar fine unless it's soi 6 then i give then 500 never had any problems with this and i stick to it.

I think its the bar facing Tims Beer Bar on the corner of Soi 13 your talking about but if I am thinking of the right place, There does be LBs in there aswell or some sort of cabaret in the night time....
I will be hitting Pattaya on the 15th Jan, Will you be still there?

Leaving on 12th Jan unfortunately. I'm coming back to Derry to finalise the whole moving thing I should be back out to live on 28th February. Every day feels like a week at the moment its a nightmare. Two of my friends who I'm flying over with should still be there but no sure if it will be Pattaya, one of them is the boy who I posted about before, he's getting married on the 6th so don't know where he'll end up.

How many of these 'clubs, gogo's' actually charge a fee to get into the place? Like if you wanted to go to a nightclub in the UK, you have to pay £10 or something, does this apply in Pattaya?

hehehe when ivé stayed long enough and start to get a little "tired" of it (after a month or so) i use to ask the girls who´s paying , some look a little sad but go with me anyway , after all it´s the customers market out there!
Okay i use to pay them 1000b LT anyway .. if they behave good of cos´
By the way , i found a bar called FIESTA at Soi 13/2 Soi Postoffice , think it was owned by a guy from France (spoke funnier english then the thai´s 555) he had a very beautiful BG there called Ning .. she was about 18 years old and she went with me ST for 500b , that included a 2 hour session with 2 nice long showers (before and after) alot of great boom boom and the ST- room was included
Still got her number and i´ll be back in Feb.

there are 2 places you have to pay to get in and it's more for the thais anyway, one is called xcite disco and the other is called hollywood, i don't think you'll be interested in going anyway as it's shows involving thai song's ladyboys and it's all about boaring to be honest. everywhere else is free to get in all the main discos are free to get in and you don't have to pay to get in any of the go-gos.
