where to stay for more relaxing time in pattaya?

Planning a trip to Pattaya for the world cup next year....

i have been many times , usually i stay in soi 7 , soi 8 or central road
so im right in the heart of it but its a bit too mental for me these days
and some days it feels like theres no escape lol

I will still plan regular bar crawls there but i like a bit of peace and
quiet too but it just doesnt happen there!!

i must be getting old

anyone any ideas?

Would Jomtien suit my needs?

ps im still interested the GIRLS , it goes without saying!

Maybe somewhere like Soi 13 which is quiet but also just around the corner from the action, Also you have "The Sportsman Bar" on that Soi which big screen to watch the games and a Snooker/Pool table (No BGs)....

I stay at the Sandy Springs hotel and could not rate it highly enough

PS: For the cheapest rates for this hotel, Book through http://www.scandibar.com/hotel/sandy/

I normally stay in the Residence Garden on Thappraya Rd. Nice 1 and 2 bedroom suites, cable TV in the bedroom and living room, in room safe, wifi (for a fee), pool, friendly staff and very guest friendly. Its about a 10 minute walk to Walking St on the way out to Jomthien but right on the baht bus route.

Only 1399 THB a night if you book through pattayapages...

NIce place, my only problem was they put me in a room by the garage. Every car or bike with loud "pipes" echoed in my room. Very nice to bring guests back though. just walk right in, don't have to go through a lobby.

I always ask for a room on the top floor, the only downside being that the wifi reception can be pretty crap then unless you're out on the balcony.

I stayed at the One Manshion apt complex on soi 3 right next to Wecome Inn. It is furnished, has plenty of space and the staff is really friendly. The nights are quite and it only cost 700 baht a night. Plus it's close enough to the action..
