Buying property in Pattaya???
Is anybody else in the same situation as me, by buying property in Pattaya? Just been out there and fell in love with the place.
Saw how cheap some of the condos where out there, and thought 'love to move to Pattaya' on a 6 month basis.

Much as I love Pattaya as a great place to party I don't think I could handle living there, even if only for 6 months at a time.

I don't think that you will be able to buy a place on Chang BB...........it's apparently mostly owned by Thaksin + family so I doubt whether a falang could get a guernsey there.......even if possible I am sure that it would be very expensive...............and a bit isolated............it's at least a half day trip from there to Patts so you would always have to stay for a couple of days.
There are some nice quiet places not far out of Patts o the mainland.......Samae San for example....where you could enjoy both the serene even village life if you wish and have the mongering on tap........even the bottom end of Jomtien is a different world to downtown Patts..............

First go and rent for 6 months a year a couple of times...
Rent is cheap and easy and you can test how you feel.. Holiday and living is very different experiences and Pats in particular is easy to love on vacation but I would have a tough time to live there..

A friend bought a big seaview appartment in Rayong. Good price, I think 2.800.000 Baht. He loves it and seems Rayong is OK. Not many farang, but the the local girls are OK. And some golfcourses around
