Hi,

Just a few questions me and a friend are traveling to pattaya this August and wanted to know how busy we can expect it. Also we are both going to be 19 will we be ok going to bars and clubs? im unsure of the age limit but i think its 18 to drink in bars right?

Pattaya is allways busy mate....and for the age limit thing dont worry you will be allright and will not have any trouble at all unless you look like a baby
Since its your first trip to Pattaya i will sugest that you read as much you can about the place and the does and dont´s..You and your friend will have a holiday you will never forget thats for sure...Be carefull you might be addicted to the place...(i did)

The legal drinking age in Thailand is 20.

July/Aug is in the rainy season although you may get lucky however, last year I was there from July 20th-Aug 10th and i think it rained every day.
It is also worth pointing out that flights during that period from Europe (school holidays) are expensive!

I should be there at the end of July. I'm just wondering how bad it rains there. I was in the PHilippines in June one time (well more than one time) and it rained two weeks straight. Hard, no overcast, just a downpour.

I guess its a good thing. It will keep me in a bar instead of traveling around the country. If i'm there i'll get you a beer. Trust me Thailand isn't hard to travel around.

One day and if you pay attention, you will be ok. Just be polite, smile, and don't get angry if someone does't know what your talking about. Their language is differnt from yours and what they hear maybe not what you said.
