Thumbs up Thanks to everyone

who gave me advice on Thailand before the cherry trip. I don't know if I said this before. I do appreciate the advice people gave me.

It wasn't much different from the Philippines except that the transportation was different, the air was cleaner and the bars were newer.

Other than that it seemed like deja vu. Thanks to everyone again. If I ever see you in LOS introduce yourself and I'll buy you a beer.

I may not post, but I do read.

Just counting the days before I go back.

If you were on the Angeles Page I was plastered all over it years ago. I made a name for myself for getting too drunk and making a fool of myself.

One bar owner even challenged other patrons to drink as much as I did, if they succeeded they drank free for the rest of the night. Only the Swedes managed or would do it.

ok here is my pic. Whatever you do, stop staring at my girlfriend. Don't ask questions about her. Yea, she has a big rack.

The Buddha statue is the replica that Ferninand Marcos returned after stealing a supposedly solid gold buddha statue. (It has never been found. Only a handful of original pictures remain). Many books and movies have been made about the two buddha statues and the history of the man who found the original one and was tortured by Ferninand Marcos.

This is one of the few pictures ever to be taken of it. I really had to pull some strings and do alot of research to find it. It was shown on the Discovery (History and National Geographic) Channels.

from Maine

I'm from Maine originally. Right now I have 10 jerseys, and still need a black and a blue one. They cost around 15 - 20 dollars here. Some are high quality some are obvious rip offs. I got a rip off green one two weeks ago.

However, I got some really high quality first day jerseys in Oct.

I used to take the jerseys with me to the PI and photograph girls wearing them. Alot of guys liked them (that were on the angeles page) however, guys who found them on a search engine didn't know what they were or what to make of it.

Just trying to convert.

I'll be back in either July or September. Trying not to spend money in July because I think I'm going to try and get a job in Cambodia in September. I am even thinking of opening the first Red Sox Nation Far EAst Bar in Phomn Penh. I have enough memorablia and probably the cash to do it. I may name it either Ian Mc Collough's or Landsdowne Street. If neither, just The Moon.

Thailand, 10X better than Philippines.

Man

If I could find belly shirts I would make all the waitresses wear them. However, i'm not too sure what the local officials would think. So I guess all the waitresses can wear pink Red Sox jerseys.

I'm still looking at floor plans and costs. Rent is cheap $300-600 a month. Electricity, water and then labor is expensive ($40 A person a month).

I managed a bar in The Philippines and had 15 dancers working for me.
So I have a rough idea on how much beer and alcohol sales need to be made per day to be profitable.

However, the bars in the Philippines usually make their money when they are sold to another person. Mostly, the new owner gets ripped off and loses the bar back to the seller.

One owner I know, has owned one bar at least six times because the buyer defaults on something.

Wonder if its the same way in Thailand.

Ps

If you need some jerseys let me know. When I have my days off, I'll go and get a few.

Here is the link to one of the pics of the girls. The rest are in the States. All of the girls photographed were wearing jerseys in other photos.
