Pattaya to Koh Samui

I'm visiting Thailand in August and was hoping to spend the first few days in Pattaya and then head to Koh Samui for a few days. Are there flights there from Pattaya? What would be the fastest way to get there and how much would it cost?
Also, anyone know much about Woodlands - it's 2000 bht/nt but looks nice. Is it worth the money? Is it BG friendly?

Thanks
