i am heading out to LOS (9 nights Pattaya and 1 night BKK) for a 10 night trip in 2 weeks time and would appreciate a quick update.

1. Has anybody been to Lucifers/Tony Bar/Marine recently and are they still Hot and is there anything new open in the last year?
2. Is 2000 bhat long time for a FL adequate budget?
3. A few friends that have recently got back have told me that they were able to pick up girls for free. They are nothing special in the looks department so are they talking crap or are there genuine tourist just looking for some actions out there?
4. Sabai land and Sabai dee - are they the best places for a soapy?
5. Whats the best daytime ST place?
6. High Season - any tips?

1. Don't know about disco's. Gogo's in at the moment are Coyotee's, Angelwhich and Club Boesche, next to the established older ones of course.
New bar Secrets in or close to walking street but haven't been there yet.
2. Never go for FL but heard 1500-2000 LT should do.
3. Never heard of that. Maybe tourists?
4. Yes, together with Sabai Room.
5. Soi 6.

Quite a large % of the girls that are FL'ing around in discos dont like to think of themselves as ******s and are shy to mention money.. They still are hopeful of it..

Picking a girl up in a Pattaya disco and not paying is poor form IMHO.. At least leave an offering near out near her purse or attempt to pay.. If she flat out refuses then ok.

Agree with LivinLos, if you pick up a girl in a disco, then maybe money won't be discussed but it is expected. Atleast offer money, if it is turned down then you truely are a 'handsome' man. lol

There is a new disco/bar opened up opposite soi 15 on Walking St called the Candy Shop. Can't miss it because its got a huge 15ft picture of 50 cent outside. Gets busy after midnight, and plays all RnB and Hip Hop music.

Lucifers is always busy too, always enjoy a night out in Lucifers, some awesome girls in there too.

Marine disco does and always will suck. Unless you like dance music, then it might be appealing to you. Not my cup of tea.

Tonys just doesn't work for me for some reason, can't put my finger on it, maybe its the fact that you can't move in there. I dunno.

2000baht for a freelancer seems abit high to me. If your picking up a girl on beach road or in a disco i'd say 1000-1500baht tops.

Best place for short time is always Soi 6, lots to choose from for a reasonable price.

Tips for high season? Well if this years high season is anything like last years, then you don't need any tips because high season didn't happen.

While what you are saying is true, it is also true that some 'working girls' are absolute idiots who seem to forget why they are doing what they do in the 1st place. Especially if the guy is good looking.

I heard stories about this, particluarly about ladyboys on Walking st that go all 'gooey eyed' over the really good looking men and thus..go with them for free. It is better to attempt to pay though as you rightly point out, I suppose some of these girls are sponsored or feel they made anough dosh already, may explain why they refuse the money ?

A young member on this forum that you know very well LIL reported recently that he wasn't required to pay a girl after the 1st night or 2. So she must have had fun with him.

I have always kept an open mind as to wether other guys do actually get freebies where the girl has actually stated up front, that she really does not want or need the money. Often wondered if it's more the case that no payment was offered and they got away with it ? It is hard to judge though. I have also discussed this with bg's I know that think these girls and lb's are completely ting tong for doing this.

Last may/june, I actually witnessed for the 1st time myself, girls and ladyboys actually shouting out from bars at me that they would 'fcuk me for free' It certainly took me by surprise but as I agree with the morals of it all, which you pointed out, I declined all freebie offers.

I was just in Pattaya...my bros and I are all fighters in fairly good shape and we all had our fair share of ladies in Patong, Bangkok and Pattaya...we never paid. However, there are definite negatives. When you dont pay for the act, you end up paying in other ways. Mainly the fact that the girls seem to latch onto you and before you know it, you have some kind of dare I say, girlfriend...ya kniow the drill. You go out to eat and youre suddenly paying for 2. Go to the bar and youre suddenly buying 2 drinks. You get the picture. On top of that, we had some trouble with girls just showing up unannounced at the gym looking for us and the drama of having to run into girls fo the past with a girl of the present. Towards the end of the trip, we all decided we probably should have just paid and kept it more business like to avoid all the hassle. I must say though, treating a girl like she may be your girlfriend has its benefits. My last night in Pattaya "my girl" took a friend home for me to make my last night "special." Gotta love 2 chicks just going wild. I will definetly agree that all of them hope fo rmoney...they give you the line "i stay with you and i like you but i have no money so i have to go to work with customer tonite." And they hope it guilts you into throwing them some cash...Ill admit, sometimes it did. I will also say that if I really dug a chick and her company and she did happen to work in a go-go or bar, I may go in at 7 and just pay the barfine so she can hangout and not work. But, bottom line is its just like anywhere...you always end up paying in some way..whether its dinner and drinks or boom boom...price is probably the same...

Thanks for the advice guys. seem like an interesting debate as to to the benefits/possibilities of freebies. The question was sparked by my mates Bro who told me that he hooked up with a stunning millionairess daughter of a shipping magnate. He said that she was stunning and he stayed a whole week with her and she paid for most things, drinks, food, golf etc........However, it could all be boolsheet as some guys just dont like admiting they pay for boom boom.

Overall, i am not interested in any kind of commitments or GF experience so i will always offer to pay the standard 1500 - 2000 so i can have a different girl every day without running into crazy ex's

Cant wait to check out Candy Shop.........

I think millionaires daughter is BS. No shipping manates in Thailand, but quite a few millionaires. But what would she do in a place visited by farangs, not to mention Pattaya. If she (and her dad) got big money, she would not frequent those places, but stay in higher circles. Look how it was in your homecountry about 100 years ago, and the high and mighty Thais live the same way.

Captain, what you say about higher circles may very well be true, but always remember that there are exceptions to the rule. When i owned a bar on Pattaya a year or so ago, i had a girlfriend who was an architect. Her offices were in Pattaya and let me tell you she was on some serious money by Thai standards. He father was a government worker living in Bangkok. My architect girlfriend had no friends when she arrived in Pattaya and became friendly with an ex bargirl who lived with her farang b/f in a posh condo complex. They became best friends. Therefore when i hear that 'hi-so' Thais don't like to mix with the lower classes, it makes me realise that there are exceptions to every rule. So as far fetched as the whole 'millionaires daughter story' above goes, remember that anything is possible.
