It is cold in Pattaya
For the last couple of days the wind was blowing strongly bringing the cold air from up north...the sun was shining brightly and there was virtually no cloud cover and yet i felt cold...due mainly to me being from hot and humid country...the girls in Pattaya are wearing sweater etc...and even the bars and gogo bars are switching off their air-cond due to the girls complaining of being too cold to dance in their skimpy clothes..imagine walking the length of beach road without sweating!...and maybe because of this weather that i cannot recover from my sickness....cough and phlegm....on antibiotics and as such with no alcohol allowed, it is quite depressing for me...hopefully weather and my condition picks up in the next few days.

Never packed a sweater when travelling to Thailand. Hope you get better with the illness Coyotee. But youre not going to get too much sympathy from us in falang-land about the cold weather - remember youre in Pattaya and we're not!

Same here in BKK, unusally cold by Thai standards anyway. Got the same lung/sinus infection as you apparently a few days ago.... no antibodies... just beer, hot showers and believe it or not..... a use for those menthol inhalers...

Coyotee, what do you think the actual temperature was there?
No alchohol huh? Let's see how long that lasts. It can't be much fun being sick on holiday, even in Pattaya. Bad timinng.

Well, it's a little "cooler" than normal for Pattaya.
At 01:00 on Dec 26....24 degrees.
With a NE wind at 13km...wind chill makes it feel like 20 degrees.
(humidity added to wind...brrrrrrrr.)
Hope you get feeling better, Yeap.

It's 24.8 degrees in Phuket right now late night, but it has been more windy than normal this month and I think thats the reason for feeling cooler. The wind is 4.5 m/s and it used to be calm most of the time unless raining. Ead also said just 5 minutes ago it was cold.
I can tell you, 24 degrees in Sweden is a good summer day.

What I would give for 24C in the UK now. Its cold 5C misty and damp We won't see 24C again until Late May if we are lucky.
Hope you are feeling better soon Yeap. I find I feel worse with a cold/cough in warmer temperatures anyway.

The provincial governor called for a "state of emergency" there last week... 15C must be cold for those without heaters....

It is the wind chill factor, i think...but i am not used to this type of weather...it just aggravate my cold and cough...it is good during afternoon where you can walk without sweating but at night is another thing altogether........but at least i don't have to face the rain and now still flooding that is going on in South Malaysia right now...i am trying my best to look on the positive side.

Agreeeeeee... I had a nasty cold just before my trip but I went there anyway, just a few paracetamol pills every 4 hours can do wonders
