Do not know if any one knew Steve the owner of TQ2 and Mermaids Diving shop in Jomtien (Maybe the one on beach road also don't know) but he died from some form of hear attack just before Xmas he was 41.
So party hards as you never know when your number is up.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news like this at this time of year also.

SORRY TO HEAR that news i knew him for a long time but really when you own a bar especially a go go which opens at 2pm you have to watch the amounts you are drinking or you could do yourself big damage its ok for us guys who only go there for 2-4 weeks at a time but drinking like that every day and i would come home in a pine overcoat i am not saying thats what happened to this guy but just pointing out probs which could happen

Pretty sure l heard he died from a heart attack whilst playing squash.

That's one game l won't be taking up at my age.

yep............steve Blumenthal........great guy and partner in Mermaids Divers in Jomthien and Pattaya............dropped dead shortly after a game of squash on the way to hospital in an ambulance...

was a pretty heavy guy but lost a lot of weight over the last year or so after finding out he had high cholesterol......

was expecting to be diving with him last week.....but was told by TJ at Coyotees on my first night that he had died a day earlier....

R-I-P steve.....always had a fun day's diving with you...and you sure knew how to run a diving business...you are being misssed by all who knew you!!!
