Thumbs up Pattaya Accomodation

hi guys after thouroughly researching pattaya accomodation for my upcoming LOS Tour i have compiled a list of worthy accomodations in the pattaya region.

Im doing this not because i've been to pattaya but to aleviate some hassles other newbies may have when looking for information regarding good cheap accomodation in the pattaya area.

Soi LK

Metro Apartments Pattaya

||| WELCOME TO THE ROCK HOUSE |||

Other areas

Flipper (flipper lodge)

Areca Lodge

Jasmine Hotel Pattaya

Hotel in Pattaya - The Queen Victoria Inn - An English Pub, Restaurant and Guesthouse, Pattaya, Thailand

Penthouse Suites

Galaxy Suites Pattaya

penthouse hotel pattaya soi pattayaland 2 south pattatya

The Vault Hotel - Pattaya, Thailand

users.telenet.be/pattayabutterfly/ (butterfly suite soi 6)

*disclamer - these are the hotels that i found suitable for my price range and after alot of searching. I'm sure theres heaps of other good places to stay at.

hope this helps some ppl in their search.

Good stuff.

I can definitely recommend the Areca Lodge. For a price of 1000THB (standard room) or 1250THB (deluxe) between February and November, I don't think it can be beaten.

That is big news if it is true. And disappointing. From being my #1 choice to going off the list, in a blink of the eye.

Let us know what they tell you. And if the news is bad, perhaps also a quick post in the Areca Lodge v Residence Garden thread.

i really couldnt believe they would go the non-gf route because it was so gf before
goes to show you though that alot of problems probably do arise being a gf hotel

or they are just trying to profit but even at 1300baht the place is well worht that money

I walked past Flipper on my travels up and down Soi 8

It looks pretty good from the outside and also stuck my head in the foyer and also looked good. It has a pool.

Bit further away from Walking St than Areca, but doesnt matter too much with Baht buses. Great location for having fun in beer bars around Soi 7/8.

If Areca gets the ar$e, then I'll be considering this one for sure.

One place to try in Pattaya is the Sunview Place on Soi Buakhao (end of Buakhao towards the Walking Street). Rooms are 700 or 800 per night, they have a little pool and the baht bus passes right in front of the hotel. Rooms are pretty clean, good cable and has a fridge (not stocked), a/c and fan both. The number is 038416286 and address is 293/29 Moo 10 Soi Buakhao.

A bit far from soi 6, 7, 8, but cheap and pretty close to Walking Street (5 min max in the baht bus). Especially good if you take a motorbike since they have a guard that sits out in front all night and notes the license plate numbers, etc.

Cheers, Robaht

Another one in Pattaya that a lot of BMs recommend is the Sandy Spring Hotel. Located on Soi 13, so a bit closer to Walking St.

Prices are a touch higher than Flipper.

Pattaya Hotels - Sandy Spring Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand

as long as it's not the peak season like over x-mas and new year and you are willing to look around for 10 Min's then i find the best thing to do is just tell the taxi to go to soi bakkow and there are loads of hotels and guest houses for about 400-500 baht and they are just as good as the hotels that you have mentioned. i understand if your a newbie then this might not be possible but if you've been before then this is a great way to save money

i stayed in sandy spring in november, really pleased with it,not bad location, paid around 1200-1300baht,nice pool on 4th floor or something like that, can get poolside rooms aswell.
stupid me only paid for one night at reception and i got the dreaded call in the early hours 'have to check out, room booked',never had this problem before, own fault i suppose, but usually get a call asking if i stay another night, double checkin.......
so i moved to one of there suites, paid around 2000b.this palce was HUGE,feck i could of rented out my other 'function room',easily could of held a party for 20 people,no need for it really, just had a couple of sofas and masses of floor space.
would defintely stay there again......standard double room would do though.555
