Where to rent a room longtime in Jomtien?

Hey guys.

I will be spending a year in Pattaya, starting from march 3th.
The thing is, im kind of a newbie to pattaya. I have only spent a week there. I liked it, but the mainreason im coming back is the low prices and the fact that people are not very judgemental... well yeah you know what I mean CanŽt stand the "normal" places where the other turists look at me as I were a slimeball only cause im walking with a thaichick!

When im coming down there I will probably spend a few nights in a hotell while im looking for a place to stay longtime.

Im looking for rooms in the pricerange 10 000 - 16 000 bath/month. Kitchen is a must (Hey, if u got a 40 000 bath monthly budget u gotta cook ur own food) It would also be awsome if the place is close to the beach.

I have looked alot on the internet. The places that have the best prices compared to standard seem to be the View Talay complexes, Ban Suan Lalana and Jomtien Complex. Any thoughts on any of those ones?
I also found a nice room in Soi 7 Jomiten... Is that a OK location?

So, any hints where to look? And maybe some places I should avoid?

Thanks alot!

soi 7 is OK...and not too far down beach rd as you go away from pattaya.....just stand at the end and the bht bus wil take you into Patts for 10bht
also quite a few good little bars etc spoted around Jomtien so take a good walk around earlyish in the evenning

15K is a realistic budget so you should find quite a few in yer budget....they won't be luxury places but reasonable appts..........

as for food........you can get good food for 20-30 bht on the street along beach rd so I doubt if you will cook that much in the end.......

probably need a cupboard (for your cornflakes) and fridge tho'........55555

Thanks man

I really need to cook my own food tho.. or well, have my thaigirl do it Since im into weightliftning, im eating a shitload of food. Even if I eat cheap thaifood by the street it end up costing me 100-150 bath anyway to get me filled up. At least it did in patong... I promissed myself getting a room with kitchen next time IŽll stay long time. It really sucks spening 1000 bath a day on food.

Yea, that sounds like a good idea - taking a walk early evening and checking out the neighborhood before I settle down. Think iŽll have my girl checking out the room at soi 7 tho, sounds allright.

Plenty of places to stay in Third Road well within your budget along with half a dozen well equiped Gyms such as Tony's where you can get a 12 month deal for 4000 Baht.

You don't want to but a four year old Yamaha Neuvo do you...20,000 Baht Bargain.
