I was thinking of heading to Pattaya for Songkran this year. I went last year and had a blast. Cant remember when i went last year, too much beer and my memory is not that good! I know It starts on the 13 of april and that it varies from place to place. When does it start and finish in Pattaya?

I am arriving in Pattaya on the 9th April and first experience with Songkran. I believe it starts on the 13th but it maybe a few days earlier in Pattaya??

Maybe someone else may know exactly??. Not too many sleeps to go

officially songkran in pattaya is on the 18th and 19th April but, because pattaya is pattaya it goes on all week from the 13th April - 19th April, i will be there at some point to, can't wait!!!!

So , most areas will only have a few days of madness , which is enough for me , don't think I could handle it going on for a week or more.

from last year if i remember soi 7-8, second road and beach road were at it all week, but on 18th -19th everywhere was mad. don't know what it's like this year but I'd imagine it's the same sketch

Same same. This year will be the 4th Songkran running. I don't enjoy it at all now, but I'm a bit tied with dates, so the Easter period is best for me.

Friday 13th

is the "official " Songkran holiday , so I'd guess it would all kick off on the 12th and carry on for the rest of the weekend.

Last year the girls started it about 4 days BEFORE Songkran so would say siliness is likely to start ~10th In Patong building up to the craziest night - the 12th. 13th is main day for daytime water chaos/fun, and dies off on 14th.
