urgent info needed for stay in pattaya
Hi all, wrote a thread about a month ago requesting info on best hotels in pattaya. Thanks to those who were able to send me some helpful info, unfortunately they did not work out as was told booked out for that time. So am looking for any more info regarding the best GUEST FRIENDLY hotels to stay, also the best bars to visit. Will be in pattaya from 14th April till 1st/2nd May. Any help would appreciated. And if you are in town at the same time I will owe you a beer or two.

I have just got back from Patts and I stayed in the Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8 - good place has 2 swimming pools, about 2 min walk from beach, loads of bars around and a 5 min 10baht Taxi ride to Walking Street. We stayed in a Sea View room and I paid 1700baht p/n thru' Sawadee.com but the cheaper rooms (still very clean etc) are about 900baht p/n - the place is very girl friendly, however according to IJ the Flipper Lodge, Soi 7 is better but I cant comment on that.
Around that area....Soi 7 & 8 there are plenty of hotels, most seem to be girl friendly so have a search on Google.
Have a good one when you get there.......55555555

You are there during a very busy holiday (songkran) period chefmick so you shall probably need to look beyond the obvious places however, still loads of hotels in Pattaya to choose from.
Give this place a call, I like it there

I really enjoyed The Vault hotel. The short rooms are big, the long rooms are bigger and the penthouses are sweet. And the owner is cool. Check out the website.
I liked the Penthouse Suites, get a room with a pole.
And yeah Galaxy Suites are in stumbling distance to Walking street. They have a nice jacuzi suite Jasmine hotel has a nice Mexican restraunt. And all hotels are girl friendly.
And if those don't work, try Last minute Hotel Bookings in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore & Bali good site for last minute hotels.
Enjoy

The Penthouse Hotel in Pattayaland 2 is infested with crawling insects but I think Matt was talking about the rooms at the Vault Hotel.
Not sure cos his post is a little ambiguous.

Flipper Lodge and Flipper House. Stayed in both before, clean and reasonable and not too far to crawl from Soi 7/8.

Before I ever got a room at the Penthouse Suites I read online all the bug problems, so I checked it out and a guy showed me a few rooms. Looked alright. I did notice a lot of cats running around inside the hotel, so I assumed that was the managements solution. Rooms are nice, maybe too much furniture. I didn't get why they have teddy bears all over the place. I just put mine in the closet along with the dildo/ashtray. They have a 24 hour room service, 24 hour cafe.
But the club downstairs will definately try and stick you for all the baht you have. Plus the owner of the place is kinda rude. And the house champagne is something like 1800 baht, and it's not all that great, but spraying down a go go dancer in champagne.....Priceless

If you want one of the best hotels in Pattaya try the Marriott. It is on the expensive side, but is in the middle of all the action. Plus guest friendly.
