Royal Cruise Hotel Pattaya, Beach road

Has anyone stayed at this hotel and if so, is it girlfriendly?

I've just booked a week in June and a week in December, because Im going to be shooting competition in Pattaya at those times and it's the official "match hotel".
Shooting competition during the day, going to Go Go's at night....What a life, eh?

Welcome to The Royal Cruise Hotel Pattaya

I walked past there with my woman at the time and I asked her "wtf is that, Krab?" She went on explaining what is was and that it was not very girl friendly, they charge some high amount. It looked more family oriented to me, maybe you would like it if you ever served in the Navy...
But definately email the hotel and verify, maybe they will cut you some slack.

Never been in the gay Navy, but my dad has his own fishing boat

I'll check it out, when I get there and there is always other places to go for then...Thanks Matt.

Royal Cruise Hotel

A few months ago I was staying down the street at the Sabai Lodge, so I walked past the place a lot. I got the impression that most of the hotel guests are either Korean, Chinese, or Russian, and are there on some sort of package tour. I suppose the rooms are OK, though, and the location isn't bad.

Sabai Lodge

Sabai Lodge? Good pool, no hassle with guests, good location. They've raised their rates recently, though. In 2002 I was paying 850 for the same room that recently cost me 1650. Obvioulsy, I liked the place better for 850.

Otherwise, the location is good. Just down the street from three soapie massage places, a bunch of beer bars, a go-go bar, and the Big C shopping center complex. Also, the baht buses come by right in front of the place on their way to beach road and then on to Walking Street.

The only week point is no in room Wi-Fi, that I was aware of. At least my computer couldn't pick up any signals. The Internet terminals in the lobby are available for a fee.

Definitly not girl friendly. I have heard they charge 1000B. It is more family friendly.

The reason why I booked it is because its the official match hotel, and to socialize with other shooters, but then again, I'll proberbly socialize more with the chicks down in the gogo's during evening time...
I got an email request for info out to them and Im looking at other options already....Secrets looks like a good choice...

If Sabai Lodge is close and good, then why not book there? It is close to Royal Cruise, so short walking to socialise and and easy to visit the soapies, take a ride to Walking street or other area's. Besides, the other shooters won't know how you spend your free time... no parading girls in the hotel lobby where they can see you. I like a little discretion.

Had a bud stay there they padded his bill and the room was not up to his standards, plus the Russian and Korean tours were bad to say the least.
He went up the alley to the Subai Lodge and for less money liked it much better.

Sabai Lodge

Just one further note on the Sabai Lodge. Depending on which part of the hotel you stay in, you may still have to prade your girl through the main lobby. But there doesn't seem to be a requirement that she leave her ID at the front desk. So just walk through like you own the place, if that's what you want. In any event, the night crew deoesn't seem to notice what goes on.

The problem is not going with your girl through the lobby, the problem may be everybody knowing you while going through the lobby. That is what I mean by discretion.

Sabai Lodge

I can't even begin to count the number of girls I brought back to the Sabai Lodge. Believe me, no one even notices.
