Fun and Fishing

I'm heading back to Patts for my 3rd time in a couple of Days - and all my visits have been in little over a year. Hopefully i'll get bored soon as i'm having difficulty explaining away all these trips to Thailand.

Anyway, this time I'd really like to take out a boat just with me and 3 or 4 birds on it, do a spot of fishing and I'll leave the rest to your imagination. I remember seeing some boats available for rent on the beach but i think they may be a little small for my requirements. I've seen bigger boats that look good but they come with captain and deckboy etc. I'd rather there wasn't anybody else there checking out my ass while i'm pounding away to be honest and I'd also rather not have to go to the onboard bedroom every time i crack a boner. Has anybody attempted anything like this before or have any suggestions please?

The two boats I've seen are 12000 and 14000 baht and i have to be back by 5pm which is not ideal.

I don't have any license relating to sea faring activities.

Hello,i am new member to the forum.I love fishing and intend on giving it a try next time in phuket, dodger has informed me on various types of fishing, and i am looking forward to it.I married a thai woman last may ,and have traveled back a few times since.Dodger has been a great host and has shown me the island. He is a hell of a guy. Most of the time i listened and laughed at his many jokes and adventures. He has coached me on the thai way,and i have been getting good stuff from forum.Went to mtb and enjoyed it.I am looking forward to my next trip back in oct or sooner.Although its a long trip its well worth it.The blood pressure and stress go right down.So glad that i found this site it is very helpful to a falang drunk .

Welcome to the board bassass. I agree, there are some good guys at this forum. I remember being very prepared for my first visit to Thailand and managed to avoid many of the classic mistakes by giving the forum a thorough read before I went.

Thanks Visa. The first link takes you to the one i mentioned at 14000. I may well end up going for that if nobody comes up with a better option. The second link seems to be all yachts, and pricy! I've given google a good thrashing over the subject already. Thanks though.

Not many boat owners will risk hiring to an unknown novice, you have to have knowledge of the tides etc here, not just like driving a car, why not take a skippered boat and stop off on the many islands when other activites need attending to.

I kind of had visions of me with rod in hand and the girls...well actually they have my rod in hand too. Seriously though, i would have to get a room on the Island too would i not?

Do you know of any other options with regards to skippered boats then dodger? besides the one at the link above i mean. That one is recommended for parties of 30+ if i remember rightly. Far exceeds my needs really.

So you don't mine sex at sea but a bit shy when it comes to al fresco island style sex? no need to hire hotel room just point the boat at a deserted piece of the island, number of islands you can get you own little bit of beach as well.

There are loads, Lil gave me details of a deep sea guy he had used before but for small pleasure style craft, which I think you sound more into, there are many advertising, I cannot recommend as not hired one myself. Friend who has a boat down at Royal Marina took us out a few times and there were quite a few boats with for rent signs on. My other friend went down to chalong and hired a boat with skipper for the day, 5 of them did their own phi phi trip etc think it was about 10/12k for the day. Failing that, hire a long tail boat for few thou and get him to just hug the coast and occasionally visit the odd island for land based activities and occasionally hand line for jack toona.

Try looking at this site, cannot recommend as not personally used but had their brochure prasertserifishing.com , 3200bht fisherman, 1200bht non fishing (min 2 persons), could do an overnight livaboard, could solve you requirements instead of roughing it on a deserted tropical island

No I'm not shy, just afraid of Tai Prisons and having to explain it to my bird

Thanks Dodger. The website seems to have dissapeared. I guess i'll just speak to a few boat owners once i arrive. Maybe Lil will give me the recommendation he gave you.

Last time I was in Patts,(about a year ago) they were handing out flyers for a boat that looked much like the one you mentioned. they were calling it some sort of "Shagging Cruise"(fishing optional)
If its the same people, then I would say that they would be pretty blaze` about having a farang shag a few BGs on their boat!!!! Apparentlly they would even supply the booze!!!!!

So if anybody sees a guy running up to people for a flyer over the next few days, you'll know who it is.

Cheers Visa.
