what u mean is that some agency asks 60.000,- for arranging visa for your gfriend ???
that sound crazy...
why doesnt she apply for visa at british embassy (for a regular visa fee)based on your invitation letter & affidavid of support?
do the make a hard time to thai girls at the embassies if they have official ivitation papers ???

you might want to use spell check when you do it.

I went to see a few of these rip-off agents in Thailand..Qouted all kinds of crazy prices. Im just going to apply myself..Lots of people have done it with success..
Ive been in contact via email with the irish consulate in Bangkok. There is NO interview process there. They tell me my girlf can apply any time during office hours or apply by post or get someone to do it for her..
Good luck

even that sounds pretty much to me, as it is something she & u could perfectly do by yourselves (with little bit of endeavour & spell check ...)
anyway, sounds much better than crazy 60.000,-
good luck to both of u !

Its my understanding that no one is allowed into the embassy to accompany them for an interview.. I know as a boyfriend or husband you cannot any longer go in with them.

SEFTON as someone who has been through it in the past i can tell you that you are allowed into the embassy with her but you wait in the waiting area whilst she is interviewed
i have already advised dazza not to go to a visa agency all he has to do is contact the embassy and request a visa application form and then when he returns it to them he needs to tell him the dates he will be in bangkok and request a interview time and date there is currently a 11 week wait for visa interviews (my mate has just done it)
then when he reaches bangkok preferably maybe 3 days before the interview he needs to go to a thai lawyer and they will go through all his papers translate them into thai and english photocopy them and on the day of the interview they will send someone with her to the interview (a lawyer is allowed in with her you are not) all this will cost him between 6,000/8,000 bhat
also is it a settlement visa (marriage) or a tourist visa a tourist visa is very easy to get nowadays the marriage/settlement visa is the difficult one

Thats how it used to be.. Its all changed recently.. Theres a private company outsourced to collect the apps and handle all comms, no one is allowed in with the interviewee if / when called for interview (perhaps a lawyer, not sure on legal rep).. Etc etc etc..
My brother is currently processing one for his missus for a vacation.. He has had a poor experience so far and says they are making it loads harder than his previous applications, the Thai company that its outsourced to has hinted that 'thier' lawyer has a 'special relationship' etc etc and he is going to start a formal complaint on the crowd concerned.
His interview was scheduled 1 month after application.. So currently running faster than 11 weeks.. App went in late last month.
