Back to basics.
Fellow boardmembers, I'm going to ask you a question here. I know this has been discussed hundreds of times on this forum, but this has been eating away at me for a few months and I figured you guys might be able to put this to rest.
I'm an ex Pattaya bar owner. I moved back to the UK March 2006 and went back to see my buddies in Pattaya Nov 06 and Jan 07. My question is this..... during my years living in the city of sin, the going rates were (Regardless of high/low season, and i'm talking Pattaya not Bangkok.) - L/T - 1500B S/T - 500B - 1000B Soi 6 - 500B I only ask because a couple of times in Novemeber I gave 1500B and the ladies looked at me as though i'd walked into their front room on Christmas morning and p**sed on their kids. They explained to me in their native tongue that this wasn't the going rate anymore, and I always argued the fact that during my 2 years in my bar these were the rates customers gave their chrome pole polishers. Am I living in the past or what? Obviously things need to be taken into consideration such as is she a gogo or beer bar girl. Do you look like the elephant man? etc etc. I'm just talking on average. Fellow board members, help out a fellow LOS brother. Cheers

On average I would say your ok.. Theres always exceptions and the ends of the bell curve but that hits firmly in the pest middle ranges..

I walked through one night (I think you were there too). I was under the impression that Soi 6 was a scary place, even though the night I walked through it looked like any other Soi.

Depends wher you findem in my experience
if you are taking a top of the line showgal she will be expecting 2k LT minimum these days........and 1.5k ST.....and the bar fine of 1k or thereabouts for her........ standard gogo gals + upmarket FLs from a club....1.5K LT-1K ST beer bar gals + most FL's 1kLT-500ST of course you can get a bargain on the beach promenade....but that's not my idea of fun

Who cares how much it is....I certainly don't, just roll with it and enjoy it then pay then what you regard as appropriate in the morning.
However, I draw the line at those LD2 cosmetically enhanced showgirls who ask for 5k all night. I know some who have paid that much and it aint me !

I guess this makes me an LDOP, to use an expression from another site (lame dupe over payer). In Pattaya I don't bother much with Soi 6 or the beer bars I just do the gogo or enclosed bar scene and almost always take all nighters. I usually tuck a lazy 2k under their purse while they're in the shower in the morning, unless I was less than happy. Maybe it's my selection criteria or sheer blind luck but I rarely wind up with a girl who hasn't made me happy enough to pay that kind of money in the morning.

I think that is a very acceptable fee dogblower.
Some guys seem to get a real kick out of paying them as little as possible. And I am certainly not pointing the finger at anyone on this forum.

I threw one guy out of my bar for bragging that he paid one of my staff 400B for LT. She came and had a quiet word with me telling me the story about him giving her 400B and I said to let me know if it happened again, but when this guy came in bragging about it, he was out on his ar5e.
A service is being provided, and just like anything else being purchased in life, you don't want to be over charged, but pay the going price.

Well in that case LDJ, you should start to petition that those babes who frequent the ''Gentlemens Clubs of Bratislava and Brno should bring thier prices down and more in line with the average earnings for the area, because I was quite shocked at what they are now charging
Us Western Europeans, Aussies & Americans also have cause to  because I have noticed a few places in Pattaya have now opened which only entertain the filthy rich Japanese cos they are wealthier But yes your point about the Eastern Europeans (in general) having less to spend is a valid one. Is Wales in Eastern Europe
