Lost??
Hi ya,
I am in need of a good hotel or so in Pattaya. This will be my 3rd trip to LOS but first to Pattaya. The first two were to Phuket which were great but I thought I would try something different. I have looked through the hotels but as I would'nt have a clue as to where things are I am stuck for help. I am after the following:
*Something located near the party scene but not too close. (noise??)
*Has to be girl friendly. (taking a girl from last trip for the week)
*A pool is also good.
*T.V, fridge, in room safe??
I know its high season then but the price range I am looking for is roughly around 900 - 1800 baht per night.
If anyone can give me some sugestions it would help me out heaps.
Cheers,

As long as it is on the baht bus route you are close to everything. Most go-go's are in the Walking street area and tons of bars between walking street and Soi 6 ... and elsewhere

If you are checking is with one girl for the duration, you should not need a girl-friendly hotel as long as she is registered too.

Ok David Essex,
Dynasty Inn on Soi 13 shall fulfil all your criteria. I have stayed there a few times and apart from the rooms being on the small side. It is a mongers haven as well as being clean, comfortable, low cost, hassle free and close enough yet far enough from the best street in the world bar none.

Depending on what “not too close” means, I’ve always stayed at the Sunshine on Soi 8.
Hotel Pattaya Thailand - Sunshine Hotel Pattaya Sunshine Residences Pattaya Beach Pattaya Hotel Reservaton Hotel Online Pattaya Hotel Thailand
Order in advance and get a room 2nd floor up with a pool-view. (Bottom floors tend to have a weird smell…) What I liked (still like) was to start off in Soi 8, then down to Walking street and finally back up to Soi 8 / 7 early for some late night prowling.
(But it's not walking distance...)

Thanks for the info that has been provided. It is so hard to choose as there is so many places to stay and as I have never been there before nor has the TG that is coming with me. I am kinda stuck but I should have it all confirmed within the next few weeks as my trip isn't until September.
Cheers

I stayed at the Sunshine with my g/f as did Mai Chob and his and we both had a good time - plenty of nightlife around but quiet in the hotel, close to the beach but has 2 swimming pools and only a short baht taxi ride from walking street.

I would have to recommend Soi 13, as it has many hotels in a variety of price ranges. Of the top of my head, you have ....Sandy Springs, Dynasty Inn, Inn house and Whitehouse Inn.
There are several more that I can't remember the names of, but the area is great as you walk 200 meteres either way and you are on the baht bus route to go North or South, or you could just walk it as Soi 13 is the middle of everything!!!
Have fun!!!!

Ok, I have narrowed it down to 4 hotels that cater for what I am looking for.If anyone has stayed at or know's of them it would be great to hear from you. Also any pro's and con's would also help.
1. Natural Beach Hotel on soi 11.
2. Flipper Lodge on soi 8 (I think).
3. Inn House Group Hotel on soi 13.
4 Opey De Place though not sure which soi its on.
Many thanks in advance,
Nathan

I think that this is in Soi Bukawo (sp?) area, down past Areca lodge. Nowhere near the action, but baht buses run to WS area from 20 yards outside the hotel.
