Love For Pattaya Reawakened !

about 1 year ago i was regularly posting on the site how after 25 visits to pattaya i was becoming bored with the place and was thinking of missing it out in my next tour, well how wrong was i and thank f uck i gave it another chance .

i had been staying in the soi 2 area in north pattaya for most of my trips so most of my time was spent in sois 2/8 and soi pattayaland 2 for some reason i did not really go to walking street much, the bamboo bar was as near as i got most of the time , so when i was planning my march/april trip i decided to book into secrets hotel which is just off walking street, ok there was no swim pool which is usualy a priority for me but as i was traveling onto phuket later and i had a pool there it was not a hardship and i thought well i could always go to pattaya park if i wanted to swim.

well i had probably the best time i ever had in pattaya staying at secrets walking street being a relatively new experience to me was amazingly brilliant i loved every minute of my stay and it has completely awakened my love for this amazing place and i cant wait to hit town again in november/december

LONG LIVE PATTAYA

25 visits to Pattaya and never Walking Street?!

isn't that like going to Alton Towers and just sitting on the Swan Boats?

Talbotman, probably will meet you in Pattaya November. Last trips I stayed in Pats for 4-5 days before going to Phuket. Never done Soi 2 and the Belgian Embassy, afternoons is Soi 6, evenings WS and Classroom in Pattayaland 2.

Maybe the fact that the baht buses don't go down that way after 6:30 pm might have something to do with it?

Good to hear you enjoyed yourself there Tommy

The Shamrock Bar is on Pattayaland 2. A nice place for a quiet beer without BG hassle.

PattayaLand 1 and 2 are just next door to Boyztown. Close to Shenanigans. Like first few sois you get to once you leave walking street and go down beach road or 2nd road.

What are some of your favourite bars in Pattaya, Tommy? Or do they all just blend into one another after a while....

Every time that I took a motorbike taxi from Areca to Walking Street they took me through Boystown. Funny, I didn't think I looked like Alfie.

Talbotman

FOR THE benefit of the smart asses with the never been to walking street comments 555555 i di not say i had never been to walking street i said i had not been there often !

walking street has changed a lot through the years when i first went to pattaya i went to waliking street in those days it was not known as walking street (simply south pattaya) because traffic was allowed to go up the street all night . in those days it did not have the same number of go go bars and music venues as it does now hence the fact i did not go there very often ,

going back there now its a compl;etely different place full of life and atmosphere and great not to have to worry about the traffic !

FOR JONNY soi pattayaland 2 walk out of walking street and head northwards along beach road the first soi you come to is soi pattayaland 2 on that soi you will find classroom go go mistys go go penthouse hotel/kittens go go shamrock bar and another cvouple of good go go bars all these bars open for buisness at 2pm pattayland 2 is not so good (in my opinion) the go go bars are not so good but at the top of the soi where it joins 2nd road you will find the three famous short time bars THE BLUEHOUSE THE BULLION BAR AND i cant remember the 3rd name but they are all together.

bella uomo my fave pattaya bars are

soi 2 classroom 2000 , yut bar (one of the best rock bands in patts at the back of the soi0 and leks lovely lady bar

soi 8 cherry bar , worldwide a go go (on beach road) we are the world music bar (again on beach road)

soi personi (post office) club nevada and pattaya rock go go

pattayaland 1 spicy girls 1 go go and bluehouse

pattayland 2 classroom go go

walking street secrets/ angelwitch go go/ dollhouse go go/ beavers go go/ baby go go/ diamond go go/ hot tuna bar (again with fab rock band) and just off of walking street the bamboo bar

2nd road tims beer bar,

soi lk metro rockhouse/ champagne go go

my fav nightclubs are hollywood bar which if you walk past the bamboo bar and continue walking straight up the road instead of turning onto 2nd road is on the left in its own little soi ! and also the big place in naklua (i think its name has recently changed it used to be the star club)

also like the moon river cafe which is part of the woodlands resort complex which is just into naklua.

Look forward to reading your Nov/Dec trip report

Isn't Pattayaland 1 and 2 the same as Soi 13/1 and 13/2?

How can you mention Soi Pattayaland 2 without mentioning one of the best Mexican restraunts in Thailand, well atleast Pattaya? The Blue Parrot..... Small bar/restraunt near the Penthouse Suites.
