I have decided, as Ive never been to Pattaya, to give it a visit from 3rd to around 9th Jan.
Suggestions from old timers re the best place to stay (if I can get in) and a proposed itinerary appreciated.

Not the kind of place that I'd enjoy.
A little too much over the top, with the mirrors, dancing poles, and all.
Also, I've never read a good review on the place. People always complaining about it being "dirty", roach infested, etc. (Really)
If you're into that kind of decor and activity...go to the Eden club, for a couple of hours. then have a clean and comfortable place, to call "home".

Thats settled it, one thing that makes my skin crawl is roach, I will seek my pleasures elsewhere....
Have to say though, a trip to the hotel from airport with 2 gals sounds the bogs dollox

Areca Lodge ( Areca Lodge) is a hotel favorite by many BM's. I have stayed there once and find it to be one of the best values I have experienced. Another, new hotel, that get a lot of good reviews is the Pattaya Bay Resort ( Pattaya Bay Resort Home Page). I will be staying there in late November.

LK is a chain of up market hotels in patts....LK Metropole, LK apartments, LK Royal suites,LK Pavilion etc...all very nice 4-5 star places and between bht1200-5000 per night
just punch in LK hotels Pattaya into a search engine.....there are some notes in one of the accommodation threads in this Pattaya section as well
BTW....I am staying at PBR over Xmas...been very good to deal with and all reports from mates have been good on the place.....but you might find it hard to get into in early jan.....it is becoming very popular amongst the PSP Utd squad
