New Years Eve

Good evening people

Another Newbie question regarding Pattaya. What's the best place for celebrating New years eve in Pattaya? Not looking for a bar to celebrate, looking for a place a good one with lotsa people and fireworks.

I'm sorry if someones posted the same question don't flame me

As we all know Thai´s dont care shit about farang holidays .. they just see another opportunity to make some extra bath! They dont even know about there own holidays for that matter .. some time!

So there can be fireworks and crazy party any day , any month in Pattaya as long as some one is paying for it!

The big public display is held at the Bali Hi Pier which is south of Walking St.
IMO, best place to go in order to view the whole thing is on the beach in a deck chair with a beer in your hand.

Bar fines are around 2000 baht on NYE and your hotel will probably hit you for a mandatory “Gala” dinner fee of a few thousand baht…accept that and you won’t find a better place to be….

I was staying in Soi 8 last year for several nights between Xmas and New Year...fireworks, noise and an even bigger than normal party feeling every night ....Walking Street is great for spectacle and people watching but I like the crowded press that is Soi 8, you can kinda roll along the street from bar to bar...NYE two years earlier (2004/2005) I was in the beer bars at the top of Soi 2 across the road from Big C...that was with a group...a great night but we never left that bar area….maybe we missed something…some regulars recommend bar fining a girl early (despite the premium price tag) else the good ones are all gone later...others recommend getting a massage and cleaning the pipes mid-afternoon and drinking the 2k bar fine instead since you have no plans of going to bed anyway......decisions, decisions....Enjoy.
