Soi 6 prices rise 40%

I went there last Feb and it was 500 for the BG.

I went there with an expat last week and it was the same for me (500) but the expat told me his Girl wanted 700.

So i went yesterday to my same girl and she wanted 700. I told her I paid 500last time. So she says next time 700.

Dupree, could the reason the girl is asking more, be due to the fact she remembered that your mate paid her friend 700b last week?

You obviously failed to look at your calendar. It was November 16, the official start of HIGH SEASON. That is when the prices change!

There are plenty of HIV infected girls on beach rd who shall do a turn for 500 Baht or less because now they have no need to pay the doctor for the medical checks anymore

wow im sorry to say but arguing over 200 baht is madness IMO, its nothing , i think 1000 baht is cheap , 700 bahts a bargain ,

700 bahts a train fare for me if im lucky ,

I wasn't arguing and I'm not complaining. Just telling what I experienced and what the current prices are. A newbie may find this helpful.

I always relate to prices back home and I think 2,500 ST in Soi 6 is a bargain ... so when they quote me 1,000 or 1,500 I laugh a little inside and pay with a smile.

2500 Baht for Soi 6 ST same same as ST cost in US. Factor in the cost of airfare, hotel room, and no income while on holiday, and it is much more expensive for ST in LOS(if you paid 2500 Baht).

I have paid 700 in soi 6 three times and 500 countless times. Some of the places are, however, hiking the rates. Yesterday I was quoted 700 and said no thanks .... instant return to 500.
