Ayuthaya and Tiger Temple

I have seen photos of Ayuthaya from BM's visits and internet. I really want to make my way there this trip in 5 weeks time. I was wondering if any BM have gone there from Pattaya and how far it is from there.. I think I once read that its about a 2 hour drive from BKK but have never read anyone going there from Pattaya! I was going to break up my trip with a couple nights in BKK for that tour and also the tiger temple tour but if i can do them from Patts and its not too far id prefer to stay in Patts and do it.. Ive been to the tiger temple from BKK a few years ago but didnt notice in which direction the bus was going...

I went to Ayuthaya last time year, but I'm not sure of the geography. We went on the way back from Nakhonsawan though, which is off to the North, so maybe it's on the opposite side of the city to Pattaya?

It's worth a trip, the pictures came out pretty good and you often feel better for seeing something other than the inside of a bar

ATTUTHAYA 1.5 HOURS FROM BANGKOK,other side to patts, very little bar action there.
good for sightseeing about 2 to 3 days would do it.(5 DAYS FOR ME TOO MUCH)
can also travel there by boat from bkk.

TIGER TEMPLE IS A GREAT TRIP BUT THINK FROM BANGKOK WOULD BE BEST
TIGERS and TIGER Temple Tours Thailand Kanchanaburi Wild Tigers

SUKOHOTHAI IS THE BEST AREA FOR RUINS IN THAILAND IMHO.
