Cheap Airport Taxi to Pattaya

If some of you go to thai land and need a cab to pattaya, i recommend to book at . My friend go to Thailand and he dont need to take the Official Limousine. It cost 2500 - 3500 baht to Pattaya. So he decide to find some cheap cap around that. He found a man [He shown himself as Private taxi] with private dress offer to take him him to pattaya. it cost 1200 baht.(i think this very dengerous). While loading his baggage to the cab, The tourist police charge to the driver. Ha ha ha ....
Taxi driver was cought. My friend weasting his time. He very upset. Finally he go with taxi meter (yellow cab) Cost him totally 1600 baht.

It really happen as my friend said when u r at the airport there will be some guy (many and many) ask you to Pattaya. Offer low price. Dont take them ( But if you want to take them make sure that u bigger than him. don't drunk, and he must not have a gun ) i have heard that some of them offer 800 baht. Very cheap but i very risk. (NO BILL ,NO RECIEVE).

When i go to pattaya i have found a site(offical) and decide to book a cab to pattaya. It save than Taxi meter. Private offial car Legal.
if line not work Cheap Taxi, Limousine and Hotel Booking Service in Thailand - Siam Transport .Com

Ps. Hope this Post will be save someone time and in some case his/her life

can get an official meterd taxi airport to Pattaya for 1200bht and return for about 800bht (cheaper coming back as the taxis are BKK based and desperately want to get a fare going home)

Bus is much cheaper at 150 baht has several departures from the Airport Transport Centre, but the last one leaves at 19.00.
There are two lines one goes to North Pattaya busstation another line to Jomthien.
Also rumours about direct bus to Pattaya from the airport by Bell Transport, but has never seen any info about it once at the airport!?
You can also take taxis from the Transport Centre to Pattaya if there are no buses for 1000 baht.

Just booked with them. They take you right to your hotel.

Here is a copy of their email reply:

"Dear Paul,

Thank you for booking with us.

It is confirmed that your 1 seat will be reserved on 18:00 bus from Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya on February 12th.

The fare is 150 baht/person and it includes company's transportation to your hotel in downtown Pattaya. Therefore, may I have your hotel's name so we can arrange the transportation for you.

At Suvarnabhumi airport, our staff will be waiting for you on Level 1, Gate#7 next to Tourist Police counter, holding a small sign of "Pattaya - Bell Travel Service". Then she will lead you to the bus which is parked right outside the terminal. Her contact number is +66(0)89-449-8843.

!!! Important !!! At the airport, please make sure to look for our staff with "Bell Travel Service" sign because there are many "Pattaya" signs that are not ours. Many of our passengers followed them and they were dropped off by the street in Pattaya.

Our company also provides the transportation from Pattaya to Bangkok.

The bus schedule from Pattaya is 6:00/9:00/11:00/13:00/15:00/17:00/19:00. Your destination can be either to Suvarnabhumi airport, Don Muang airport or hotels in Bangkok. However, there are only 3 departure times that have connecting transportation to hotels in Bangkok i.e. 9:00, 13:00 and 17:00.

The fare to Suvarnabhumi is 150 baht/person, to Don Muang airport is 350 baht/person and to hotels in Bangkok is 300 baht/person. These fares include pick-up and drop-off services from your hotel to your destination in both cities.

If you have planed for your return trip, you can reserve the seat at the same time via this e-mail.

We look forward to servicing you soon. And if you have more questions, please feel free to contact me via this e-mail.

Thank you and best regards,

Ms Sirisong Haewan"

If you arrive at the airport close to their departure time to Pattaya, it shouldn't take longer to Pattaya than by taxi, about 2 hours, but if the bus has just left it's another 2 hours wait for the next one!

When i arrived this trip at the transport centre a bus had just left, instead of waiting another two hours I shared a taxi to Pattaya with a Katoey for 500 baht per person!

Route 7 close to Patts is a mess at the moment anyway so not a lot of difference in times. Bus shouldnt be longer than 2 hrs aiming off from the time it tookme to drive. I've often thought about calling out i the taxi queue to see if someone wanted to split a taxi. When you compare the cost with a phuket taxi it still seems a fairer price though.

First I wasn't 100 % sure it was a katoey, very short and in he's 40s, sometimes it's difficult to determine the gender of older people!
As a precaution I piled up my luggage as a wall of defense between us as we were both seated in the back seat!
Unfortunately it didn't take long for "Kat", that was his name, to find a way through my shield of armour, and he had me pinned up against the door for most of the ride with his hand all over me!
If the driver wasn't one of those death-defying kamikaze-pilots speeding like crazy and slaloming between the different lanes, I might very well have opted to jump off in the middle of the ride, but I decided to ride it out, to live another day!
At least I saved 500 baht on the taxi!

Well, physical wounds heal.
It's worse with my ego though, it might have received some unreparable damage!

Try the underwater train. Very scenic. Takes about 2 days.

There are no trains running directly to Phuket. Passengers by train have to stop at the Surat Thani Phun Phin railway station. To continue the journey you’ll have to take one of the buses which frequently depart from the railway station to Phuket.
