i actually stayed at Royal Palace the 1st time i ever went to Pattaya, it was smack dab in middle of January so taxi driver took me there

i did not like the rooms at all
pool was nice enough

i met a crazy Brit and he was staying at the Twins and that was much nicer

did you check Areca Lodge?
much nicer hotel

LK Pavillion (not Metropole...its over 2k bht per night) is a great spot and pretty comapable in price to Areca

Areca still gets my vote in Patts and I've stayed in about 50 hotels between there + Jomthiem...best value in Jomthien is Nirvana IMHO

Booked the Areca, turned up and they had let the room, despite me saying I would be there at 9,30pm. I arrived at 9.40.
Not impressed.

Now staying in a suite at Pattaya Bay Resort.

Rooms OK, pool tiny and restaurant just passable.

42" flatscren in room seems to have hypnotised tirak but, still wont let me go out alone!!!

Damned women......
