They shall not reply to Fax transmissions, so long as it went thru take it as red that they have it and everything is A-OK

The only time the Hotel is full is Dec 23rd-Jan 5th. The guy who looks after reception from 9am-9pm is called Sirt and although he can read English, he can not write it very well and in the past he has asked me to compose a reply for him.

If you like sunlight and are an early riser ask for a room facing north, if you like a long lay in then the room needs to face south.
Currently the hotel does not have any water problems,my friend stayed there for a week in early August.

Current J-House Rates

For that period the rate shall bee 600, on arrival you may be able to get them down to 550.

The room i posted was number 204, facing north with a sea view if you look left however, now a building site view if you look straight on.
Facing north suits me because i like plenty of natural light and i am usually up & at em by 11am having breakfast and a cup of coffee after my morning swim.

The place is cheap, safe and the staff do not have a care in the world regarding your activities!

Location wise, it is as good as it gets.

I have just noticed your dates...You lucky devil, the day after you arrive is Loy Krathong day, Pattaya shall be packed with Thais from the district to enable them to float their Krathongs out to see with their partner!
It is a truly magical day and my fav Thai Festival as the girls get heavily made up, wear traditional costume along with a 50's hair style.

Have Fun

Good News

Happy to hear you are all sorted and ready to go.

Value for money, the J-House is pretty good and although you shall find better equiped hotels in Pattaya at a similar price, you can not beat this location. Within 20 yards of the front entrance is a bar complex with over 200 working girls in attendance or

Prices in Eastiny Place are too high now: 1100 B / night instead of 800 B before. Another place that I will not visit in the future....

THANX !!!

I always stay Bay Breeze (503/2 Pattaya 2nd Road, Opp. Soi 10.) 500 baht per night when i stayed there last July, 800 baht per night over christmas just past. Check out the review from Pattaya pages(link below). The staff are really friendly and it's in a great location (not too noisy, not too far from
action)

Anyone has anything bad to say about the Lek Hotel ? I have read mostly good things and decided to stay there for a few nights while visiting Pattaya (so many choices, so I finally picked this one with good reviews and location and now not interested in any other place unless there is something really bad about this place ! ).

By the way what is the best way to book it - directly with the hotel and asiatravel.com have the same price !

is Royal Orchid Resort hotel any good, it looks quite nice and a good deal at the minute but is near the nightlife. Also are the hotels still mostly guest friendly?

I have searched but there isn't a good thread like the phuket ones

thanks

Apex Hotel

I'll be staying at the Apex again hopefully. Get their best room. it's only like 600B during the low season and you'll get the best accomodations and it's right next to the pool. Security is great there and they have a breakfast and dinner buffet at a very good price. The location on Second is also good.

J-House Hotel
595/ 2-3 M. 10 Beach Road
South Pattaya
Pattaya City
Chonburi
Thailand

Expect to pay around 550-600 Baht per night in November but to be honest unless your holiday clashes with Loy krathong on the 16th November there shall be no need to book, just turn up.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread, anybody got any up-to-date info on J-House Hotel - is it still there? rates? able to book online?

Thanks.

Apex Booked, trying another

I'm headed to Thailand again - yeeee haaaa - in four days. My gf in pattaya called Apex and it's booked through 21 March. She found a nice place down 2nd near North Pattaya Road for 600B. I'm trusting her that it's nice, and I'm sure it's probably very nice. She said it has a big screen TV, BR and living area. I'll try that place for a couple days and if it's nice, i'll post the name here. It's a little ways from the beer bars and go gos, but I have a feeling she's trying to pull me as far away from those as possible so I don't leave for one hour to get short time. I think she's going to make sure I have little desire for short time though.

I highly recommend the Eastiny Place Hotel Soi 8, Pattaya . Good price, clean rooms, GF and close to the action.

Thumbs up Eastiny Place Hotel

Eastiny Place Hotel, nice new hotel played 1200b a night. But don’t go to bed before 3am because the music is thumping around that part of town.

Apex Raises Prices

Unfortunately, I returned back to the USA April 6, after getting to Thailand March 21. I stayed a few nights at a nice place down Naklua, but it's far from any action. After two nights there I checked Apex Hotel on Second Road, which is where I've stayed 4 or 5 times. They remembered me and got me one of their 450B rooms, which aren't bad, but I wanted the marble tile floor room next to the pool, which cost 600B. One thing I've noticed is that all the rooms have been repainted. When I first stayed there in 2005, the walls were in need of some new paint. Effective April 1, they permenently raised the prices 100B. For me, Apex is still a bargain, centrally located, yet quiet, and yes, the ladies do have to leave their IDs. I had the same lady for 2 weeks, and next time I won't. She's nice, but jealous, scared that I would have spent my money on a short time. Stick to many, bounce off them and on to another from now on. It's much more enjoyable.
