Pattaya TR:March 25 '08
As promised, here's a short TR of four nites in Pattaya...as expexcted Waliking Street was my hunting ground... Busy?..Not massive crowds but lots of foreigners esp Japanese...the bars in most side sois were literally empty...and as written in most posts here the BGs were not too keen on attracting customers...Incidently, me being Asian and not Caucasian made a big difference too...I often hear screams for the guys walking in front of me and not me...!No problem...I was just shopping too.Whatever it is WS is a great place to do people watching...
Then it was two nites in a row at Secrets...I must say the place is cozy,BGs not pushy,maybe their mamasans were,but on the whole had a great time with the girls...lots of girls i must add... it was one rare place where you feel at home,not hurried,and have fun...lady drinks came much later and some girls had not had one even till 2 am into the nite...so it seems to me a pity that they are left so thirsty,so why not give them a treat...it seems making a living is harer than expected and sometimes it is a sad situation...I ended up barfining a 28 something BG who seemed reserved and decent ,not pushy nor itchy...so there was a bit of chemistry...i guess most of the BGs that joined in at my table were fun girls and had a good time ...funny thing was this lady had a motorbike and off we rode to the Cosy Beach Hotel...she became my taxi to my meeting the next morning too..! So, willl i go back to Secrets?...Yes surely...did not get to shake hands with whoever runs the place but fulll marks and a lot of recommendations to all to have a visit.... I wonder if the next time I am there , will I feel bad if I barfined another BG...hmmm...some of the coyotees were tempting... On one occasion I walked into Lucifer disco hoping to meet a DJ friend and his girl but they have moved to another venue and I was pissed no one could tell me where..so I say to enjoy the great live band ...some Americans and a Thai gal singer...good mix of pop tunes,Black eye peas type...great sound system...and at about 11-12 midnite the crowd of young single females grew alarmingly huge...!On the Friday nite I was there the ratio of girls to guys must have been 10 to 4...Yes, no smoking signs were there but some still smoked...Some gals were there just to have a good time,not boom boom, but most are freelancers and I can recognise some faces from the bars...I was not hunting but would have easily hooked one if I wanted too...there was a nice waitress that caught my attention, sweet young thing,spoke fairly good English,had a fun smile and got her number!...She enjoys drinking,and since I was drinking alone I invited her and bought her a tequila...I wonder what this is called,I guess drinks for waitresses are not ladies drink cos they don't get a cut right?...She was just a gulper...and she ended up with four !...and we had a great time..though she had to work and walk here and there all the time...maybe she sees me as a safe bet...well its ok,it was fun meeting someone like her...will definetely keep in touch... the catch of the day,eventhough I was not fishing happen just in between my toasts with the cute waitress...she was visiting a friend in Pattaya and just loves to dance and listen to music...she was just on the table next to me and wanted to leave and said bye bye...but I offered to buy a beer and she agreed to stay...well, like I said the chemistry added to the rhythm of the music and soon it was down the alleys for a late bite and off to my hotel...i must say she is not the usual young gal or BG...she is different in more than words can discribe...the next day she followed me to Bkk and to the airport for a final kiss...There is a certain mystery about her and she opened up surely and directly...that is another story i will keep sincerely...i find it hard to figure out how she manages financially..or for that matter how many Thais manage financially to survive..they have such survival instincts...some from hand to mouth a day at a time...in this lady's case i am not sure whether she is a fulll time freelancer or whatever you call it...she has a simple old Nokia and no flashy gems or such that working girls adorn...and her ex husband is a policeman!...Interesting huh...i am curious to find out more in my next episode...! On the whole, Pattaya was fun, relaxed if not for the intense seminar schedule I had...There were lots more opportunities here to hook up than I guess Phuket...the weather was mid hot..no rain at alll..evenings were just right...as for accomodation...Cosy Beach is 5 mins from walking street by bike...40baht ...girl friendly and no hassle even pass midnite...book online direct to hotel at 1600baht a nite...with bf... some shops and nite fruit vendors,internet cafe and small bars just around the corner of hotel...as expected,lots of Russians! Next stop, Bkk and Zhuhai/Macau... cheers to all BMs.. Dikman
