Transportation to Phuket
Thinking of going to Phuket on my last nights in Thailand. I'll be in Pattaya and need to know prices and methods of getting to Phuket from there. Any Suggestions.

I think you would get a great Thailand experience if you rode an Elephant.

If I remember correctly, there is a flight from Pattaya airport to Phuket, however I may be wrong. I would have to do a search to see if this is correct or not, so if you've already heeded the advice above...

Are you on a budget? If not I think the most confortable way is to take a flight from BKK to Phuket. Assuming you'll be staying in Patong it'll be something like this: taxi 1500B Pattaya-airport, flight 2000-3000B BKK-Phuket and taxi 600B Airport-Patong.
Another option would be to take the bus from BKK to Phuket but it's a 12 or so hours ride... Price is about 1000B.
Cheers

That may be true for you high-rolling Latin Swedes thundering down to Phuket in a VIP, air-con sleeper, but the mortal man has to take the non-aircon 300 baht 16 hour jobbers...
Seriously though, when on a vacation, I wouldn't mess with a bus... time is money. Unless, you want the "adventure" of it.
Also, these 12 hour rides can sometimes get delayed.. so I am told anyway.

55555 agree, but since I don't know if the OP is on a tight budget I suggested the bus as a last resort

I tried one-two-go for the same date and it came out 1850B one way... But from Donmueang to Phuket. Adding the taxi fare it'll be a total of 3350B 55555 just 20B cheaper than a Patts-Phuket flight. However they seem to have "early birds" discounts (999B)

Hi
i have flew with Bangkok air from Phuket to Pattaya and it was very good will be doing it again in June. Its a very quite and small airport mainly used by the Thai airforce so less hassle.

HAVE always used bangkok airways from pattaya (utapao) to phuket dont see any point in making a taxi journey to bangkok to fly to phuket just to save a very few bhat !
as tl says bangkok airways is an excellent service well worth the extra money especially for its reliability and punctuality .

Well it is tempting to stay in Pattaya and save the xtra Baht for Nighttime activities, but the beaches are a must see for me. I just hope I don't get chumped out of alot of Baht on BFs and LTs.

Im planning to swing by those parts in June myself... might take the flight instead of the bus, lets see.
