Areca is Booked Solid. Now what?

Yeah so I see from the threads that Areca is the best hotel for the money, but its booked solid for the next couple of weeks. Did a little search and found mixed reviews on other hotels. So I'm at square 1 again. Looking for a clean, under 1800 TB, with Pool, and Guest Friendly Hotel. I see that most hotel sites don't advertise they are Guest Friendly, so thats why I'm asking the BMs. Just a few tips would be appreciated. Thanks again.

hi there!

have to give flipper hotel a bigh thumbs up. stayed there two weegs ago. walk-in. 1000 baht a night. 500 baht deposit for safety box at reception. nice and clean rooms. nice pool with bar in the pool on the 8th floor which overlooks pattaya. good prices there too if you want to relax with your missus at the pool. paid 650 baht for a bottle of bacardi plus three bottles of coke and ice. girl friendly and good location in soi8. will stay there again in three weeks for another 10 days.

cheers,

chris

Well, I just got an email saying they have a room available, but alot of constuction is going on there. Does anyone know if the noise will be a problem when recovering from a night out or just an eye sore.

Depends on which room you have, someone, think it was Dbaron posted he had room at back and could hear some noise.

Just book it and if to much noise move out and book elsewhere, its no problem getting rooms this time of year.

I guess I made a few people mad with my questions, especially one in particular. I thought this was a public forum where you can submit and request information about the Land of Smiles. Well no worries. I'm going to be there and enjoy myself regardless. Thanks to all those who helped. CHEERS

I think "irritated" is the better word. Here's why:

1. You split off a topic that could have been contained within one thread.
2. You appeared to not even understand the implications of having construction in a hotel you were thinking of staying in. My first thought was "why even take the chance". You've never seen construction before?

And now:

3. You so far have trumped the conclusion to this short story by denying the final conclusion you made. What hotel? Why? How much per night? What deal you got? Who's advice did you take?

It's your chance to add some content and information.

Hope this helps in future topics for you...
