Thumbs down May 3rd bars closed

In what is becoming more annoying as this seems to happen on saturday nights usually footy night anyway I think strict enforcement is unnecessary in tourist areas bars are fined 20,000b if they serve alcohol

??? May 3rd an bar closing day ??? For elections in Pattaya ??? - its certainly not a public holiday of Buddha day. Coronation Day May 5th and Royal Ploughing Ceremony Day May 9th are NOT bar closing days either.

I certainly hope it's not a closing day. I'm only on the island for 7 days and the 3rd is in the middle...

Its is annoying to tourists who travel from from a far and pay increasingly high air fares to get here and have bars closed on weekends and this is becoming more frequent their must be another way to accommodate the tourist
