Me and my brother will be in Pattaya June 18-22. My brother wants to stay close to action and hopefully don't pay more then 1000B,me on the other hand need a nicer/romantic hotel (Kitty will join me June 20) around 1500-3000B but not so fare away from him. Any good advise here

I guess it was a tricky question for this forum. Well I have done a lot of searching on Pattaya forum but not get any wiser. Anyway I have decide to stay with my brother in a smaller Swedish guesthouse(La chiquita,460B)close to Siam Sawasdee for the first 2 nights. Then I have time to look around for a more fancy place for me and GF for the last 2 nights before our engagements party.
Thanks, Caerphilly. I will check Tim Boutique and LK Renissance

Siam Sawasdee is a pretty decent 3 star hotel for under 1000 including breakfast, but I guess your brother is sorted already.
You might want to check out Areca Lodge, which is on Soi Diana Inn, between Patttaya Road 2 and Soi Buakhaow, about 100 meters south of Siam Sawasdee, turn right on Soi Diana Inn. This hotel is a favorite of many guys on this board. I haven't stayed there as I am in your brother's price range, but I walk by it a lot, and it sits way back off the road, with a driveway up to the front, and nice landscaping in front. Very classy look. Currently a very nice deal at low season prices, which are: Standard Room 1050, Deluxe Room 1250, and Executive Room 2150. Those prices are nearly half of what their peak season prices. If I was going in low season, I would stay there.

Tim's Botique on Soi 14 for you.
Have brother walk 25 meters further down Soi 14 on same side of street as Tim's Botique. Nice hotel for his price range there. Directly accross from nice affordable laundry.

Just an update on the Areca, i stayed there last month and there is lots of building work going on around the rear pool area. So can be very noisy during the day . Everything else was fine as always though....

I've booked Sandy Spring to be closer to the action than Areca or Pattaya Bay Resort.

Sabai Lodge
We've been again, I think for the 6th time in a row, at Sabai Lodge, Soi2.
The rooms around the second pool (they have 3) are just the best ever.
You can see on the picture that it's just a jump from the door step right into
the pool. You cross the pool and on the other side is already the pool bar.
All very easy....very nice staff and only a 5 minutes Baht bus to Walking
Street. Around the corner of Soi2 you got SabaiLand for a nice body massage
if you need one, while your missus is still sleeping;-) We always meet very
interesting and nice people there.
That's me on the pic with the kids....so you can't blame me for the bit blurry picture, didn't take it ;-)

We will try La Chiquita Bar & Guesthouse Soi Buakhao at least for 2 days and its up to my brother if he wants to stay rest of the time there but my guess is that he will found it more then ok especially when the price is low 5555
I will check all hotel in the surrounding area after the most romantic and nicest with a good car security because my gf is always worried about her fancy car 5555.

I don't think 1400 - 1800 Baht is too pricey for TG with a BMW, which btw can be parked very safely there ;-)

UB2YOU IF YOU GOT A ROOM AT SABAI lodge for the price you stated you struck gold i have always been quoted at least 2,300 bhat a night and for those rooms at the poll quoted 3,350 bhat a night
sabai inn 1300 bhat a night with use of all the sabai lodge facilities 2 mins walk away even for a lazy bastard like me thats not too far 555555
as for soi 2 being 5 minutes by taxi from walking street well i have been staying on soi 2 for over 15 years first at the beach view hotel now sabai inn and i have nevr been able to make that journey even in daytime hours in less than 12 minutes at nightime i would say it would take at least 20 minutes especially when the f ucking greedy bhat bus driver trys to pick up every pedestrian he passes enroute.
