Im staying at Anna Jet soi 7 in May 09.

As its my 1st time to Pattaya I need to know what to expect to pay drinks/girls wise. We are 3 lads in our early 20's and were paying roughly 70 - 80 baht per beer and 400 bar fine and 1000 LT for girls in Patong last year. Is this about the same as Pattaya?

Does anyone know the best bars around soi 7? and has anyone been to Anna Jet?

bar fine 300 lt 1000 less if they stay with you for a few days beers betwenn 60 and 70 theres some 35 baht singha bars in the day just walk up and down the soi and pick the bar with the best and most girls in thats what we do soi 8 is ok aswell the next soi up

Your definitely heading in the right direction my friend and you couldnt of picked a better soi to start with,one of the most lively soi's around,soi 8 also is extremely good.

As for beer,you can expect to pay 60 baht for tiger,80-90 for heineken and 800 for Sam sung, but if you get friendly with some of the girls they may let you bring your owne bottle and leave it in the cage behind the bar..

most of the bars are very good on either of the soi's and have some of the nicest, a bar i would recomend for your age group is "the Funny Girl Bar", its in the middle of the intersection that cuts from soi 7 to soi 8,right next to a small laundrett..(if you need more details,private mail)

as for the ladies,you can expect to pay pretty much the same as you did in Patong,infact 1000 is going over there..im going back myself in 8 days and then again on the 6th of june, will you still be there..wish you all the best,its a jungle..

theres agogo at the bottom of 7 cocktails are about 140 baht a pop i think go to walking street if i was you has got everything

a lot of bars around soi 7 and 8 will operate at 45-50 baht a beer during the day,and u can spot them as they will be the busiest.
as for bargirls,the quality in my eyes,are far from patongs quality,although there are always diamonds in the rough....and pricewise you'll expect to pay 200-300 baht BF,1000b LT.
the gogos outrun the bars,and u will find better quality in there(some top snatch),a lot of girls working gogo rather than the bars,because of demand and mass quantities....plus no doubt more cash,so i would say 100% you'll be paying more in a gogo than a bar,either for bedroom antics or drinking.roughly 500bf...2k LT (more for superstars

or whatever they wanna call them )80-90 baht+ a beer.

get yourself down to soi 6,believe me(thats if u like a bit of full on ST action)..1000 baht all in...be rude not to staying in soi 7.
soi half a dozen (code name)fun and games,fun and games.

What about Disco's?

A few times in Patong (while in Tiger nightclub) I'd have already bar fined a bargirl, took her to the disco and find myself surrounded by fitter ones than I had.

Where do the better girls go clubbing after work in Pattaya ?

The best discos to pick up the woman are Lucifers and Insomnia. Both are on Walking Street. And Lucifers charges about 160 bt for bottles of beer and Insomnia charges 130, but you can buy a discount card from Insomnia, drops the price down to 110bt for a bottle of beer.

I was pulling woman from Insomnia for anywhere between 1000-1500bt depending on looks and quality.
I'm sure you can get some fatties for like 500 or free. But thats up to you.

I stayed at Anna Jet one night in Nov06. It was a bit trashy for my comfort but maybe ok for your age. How did you decide to pick it?

I found it by looking at the website!

We were gonna stay somewhere a bit more upmarket but we normally go out all night and return around 4am and then drink in our rooms so we thought we best stay somewhere that stays open late and a place we wont piss the neighbours off too much

plus your right, at our age who gives a shit, we are afterall going thousands of miles to party and get laid - i dont think we will be staying in our rooms looking around and thinking eeuurrggh this is a bit shady!

Lucifers is a great spot for pickin up, nusic is more chilled out in there thatn Insomnia...that place is seriously bangin...right spot!!!

Try a few mai tais, while sittinin some of the bars on soi 7 just watchin the day go bye...magic

yep, agree with matt knickerbox....

insomnia is bangin,if u like electro house.....discount cards u can by from the staff..i.e the service/waiters.i saved a killing just in the one night i was in there.

lucifers is more on the hip-hop tip,with split up schedules containing live hip hop bands and dj selection of house and hip hop.

but both packed to the rafters with fanny.

as for cocktails...your looking in the 200b range or near on,especially in the disco's....long island ice tea's defintely get the party started

insomnia is right in yer face.....even for a seasonned night club addict like me....hard to even get more tha 10 feet inside the door if you are getting ther around 3am....best to go a bit later

Marine2 picks up a lot of the Gogo gals after work who missed out on a customer....doesn't get goinfg until about 4.00am....but not bad for a bit of fluff

i presume being young guys you will not mind very loud music, as that is what you will find at Anna's, for whatever reason they have their music at an unbelievable volume, i had a drink in there one night but had to go after a few mins, it was just too much, but i am sure you will enjoy it.

Those were the discos I spent most of my nights in when in Pattaya, because the first girl I was with for 2 months favored Lucifers, and the 2nd girl I was with favored Insomnia, which BTW, is not right on WS, but on one of the alleys(off Soi Diamond, IIRC).

Lucifer's has a great live hip hop band, really put on a good performance, all good singers and players, with a hot TG singer, as well. For young guys, this is a pretty happening scene. Action start after midnight there, and gets going pretty good by 1:00.

Insomnia is a place a lot of BGs go after closing, so it really doesn't get going til about 3:00 or later. Nice place, but I had to bring ear plugs, as the volume is incredible, and you really can't have a conversation in there.

insomnia has changed location and is no longer in soi arab.
it is as stated,down walking street now,and is unmissable,a fair size,and is packed out to the early hours... the bangin music is the same though

Theres a few good cocktails, But if made right you can't go to wrong drinkin Mai Thai's, as for discos, to many to choose from. Lucifers, Marine and Marine 2, and for the Person who just cant get enough, Insomnia...

This is by no means a daily occurance, its a bar where at six in the morning ya can serve your owne drink, youve spent enough money over the last few years in this same bar and if the girls are inclined to ask you to throw fifty into the bin so they can run to seven eleven to buy a bottle, who am i to refuse, they obviously want you to feel that there lookin after you by saving you a few hundred??Theres no question of been a cheap charley!

If you want real cocktails in civilized surroundings, try V2O on Soi Happy just off Walking Street. It's the perfect place to chill out - and I do mean chill out - as it has an ice bar in a room kept at a temperature of 20 below zero (Centigrade). It's one of the few bars in Pattaya that can make a proper mojito. Its Long Island Teas are very good, too.

Eagle Bar 200 Metres from Anna jets still on soi 7 45 baht all day every day open 24/7 They have around 20 girls working 7am till 7pm then another 20 do the night shift very busy bar as it is so cheap.

Eagle bar definately for day time beers . Amazing paradise on soi seven is good in the evening and usually has some very nice girls also a great place for watching F1 and Premier leauge football . Party Bar on soi 8 might also suit you although neither the beer or the girls are cheap

Party Bar is a 500 Baht BF. I think it is even higher than that(700 Baht), if you BF the girl before 11:00 PM. I think they think they are better than the other beer bars, the high class beer bar or something like that. The farang owners also own Insomnia disco, and Insomnia Gentleman's Club.

Bars around soi's 6,7,8 (plus many of the others)are open early doors,some around the clock....for daytime bars i would'nt go to walking street,other than for star a go-go,which is good fun....although there are bars open in walking street, the street doesnt hot up until later in the night....and no, 1am closure is not in force...far from it.

For people your age, Lucifers for me is the top drawer and im 52 and still had an absolutely top night in there, as for soi 7 and 8, its not a matter of which bar(s), you are going to frequent its a case of which bar(s) you handsome young men are going to get “dragged” in. Have a great time.
