Weird food?
Like many people I have tried deep fried bugs from the street stalls but Im wondering what other weird and wonderful things are on the menu in Pattaya?
Whilst watching top gear vietnam special, I saw them eating things like snake and sparrow and I was hoping that I could find places serving similar things in Pattaya?
Anyone know of any restaurants?
Cheers

Not off the top of my head mate, I usually only venture as far as roches, maybe the occasional bag of ants with flies thrown in for good measure, letme know if you find out..

I know. Allways found it strange finding a pigs head and a bottle of Mekong before the altar.

Never tasted it. Looking at the eyeless face of a pig staring back at me does not do much for my appetite!

In the past 4 years I've eaten rat, dog, frog, and venison, plus other things I'd not want to think about. Pigs heads on sale in Makro at the moment for B38- enjoy

The meat around the cheeks would be good! I drink a beer which had a small live fish swimming around in it once when I was living in Japan. Felt it moving in my gut for a while.
I would refer to eat a few fried bugs over a couple bovine testes any day!

Some places in Pattaya have live shrimp to eat........ kinda freaky.
Try a restaraunt named Viettienne. It's actually kind of upmarket but they showcase foods from laos, issan and vietnam.
The issan food features frogs, snails, snake...
Up in Laos they have the bottles of whiskey stuffed with snakes, scorpions and whatnot. I can never find that stuff in Thailand though.
Enjoy

My old boss used to eat goat's head. Friend of mine married his daughter and snuck down one night for a midnight snack. Opened the fridge and had to peek under the tin foil. Half a goats head with teeth and eyeballs staring back at him.

Rocky Mountain oysters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
nothing wrong with a little dish of rocky mountain oysters, my "mate" told me they were a little on the salty side but good with beer.
I grew up in the southern US so fried frog legs was a regular meal, and naturally crawfish is the best it gets.
Also have eaten rattlesnake at the rattlesnake roundup in Sweetwater, Texas.

I remember the stuff Granny used to cook in the Beverly Hillbillies. I think Hog Jowls and Collard Greens were Jethro's favorite! The Beverly Hillbillies - Theme Song
I thought the original lyrics were' shooting at a coon' but apparently its now 'shooting at some food'.

This delicacy is from Finland, it's called mämmi. It's eaten at Easter. I don't know how to explain the taste. Usually foreigners have some doubts about it , I can't imagine why I like it though. This is the second Easter in a row i'm not getting this delicacy because i'm in Phuket. I don't mind though
