Patts noob

So i have scored a few days away from the wife after a trip to phuket and will be spending prob 4 days in pattaya for the first time in May

I have narrowed accomodation down to around soi 7-10 or diana to stay ( I like a central location) and am looking forward to a new place (Pattaya) to explore.

Is there any 'must do's/see's ' whilst in patts?

WS
buddha mountain

I like the nightlife, i like to boogie (5555) I like to monger, I also see myself hiring a scooter and looking around during the days.

Cheers

Take a look at the "flipper hotel" on soi 7 or the sunbeam in soi 8, couldnt get more in the heart of things, theres always plenty to do, try the Million year old stone park, not sure if thats exactly what its called but im sure theres someone who will put me right, also theres a Timber temple thats constantly being renovated, not sure of the name but they'll even let you have a go at some of the in gouse carving, both are quiet beautiful..

4 days and no wife around, I'd forget the touristy stuff, enjoy the nightlife to the max (which mostly has an impact on your daytime activity as well). You can always visit temples and stuff when you visit LOS with the missus. Ok Buddha mountain could fit in as it only 10 minutes outside Pattaya.

im sure we've all had our fair share of accidents..and the scars to prove it......

seems soi 7 is bouncing most of the day...never stayed there but drank there enough times,i would just say be careful of where your hotel is situated because of the noise factor....but i heard a few peeps stay at flipper lodge and have been satisfied.

as for must see's..try walking street and soi 6.... 55555

As the OP likes to boogie, you'll find a number of places on walking street where u can 'boogie' until your hearts content...lucifers,insomnia,marine,hammer.....have a look see what suits ya.

Pop into Secrets nightclub on Walking Street and introduce yourself as a member of this forum to the manager Larry. It's a great place to start and get your bearings.Lots of helpful advice there.Always lots of friendly cuties to keep you company.

As already mentioned, consider Soi 13 for hotels.Centrally located but fairly quiet, lots of restaurants.

The Sanctuary of Truth is a popular tourist site.Google it up and see if it's of any interest to you.

Enjoy your visit.

Soi Diana area is a good choice to stay in, IMHO. If you are on a budget, Hotel Siam Sawasdee on Soi Buakhaow is a good choice, good staff, big enough rooms, most with a view, very nice buffet breakfast included, and a decent enough pool. If not on a budget, then I concur that Areca Lodge is a good choice.

Personally, I would hesitate to stay on Soi 7 or 8, too much in the middle of it, if you know what I mean. And noisy, too.

For a 4 day trip, I would say just go to the gogos on Walking St. area. The quality of girls is better there, and they try harder to get your business, and, I think, for the most part, treat you better. You will pay them a little more, but that shouldn't be a consideration on a 4 day trip. 2000 Baht for LT is typical, although I could usually talk them down to 1500. But if I was only going to be there for four days, 500 Baht wouldn't really be worth the time it takes to do so.

So my recommendation to you is to tour the Walking St. gogos, pick out a gal that suits your fancy, and seems to have a good attitude, BF her and have her show you the town! Don't waste your time hanging out in beer bars. For afternoon action, Soi 6 is the place to be.

Enjoy! I know you will.

I like the nightlife, i like to boogie (5555) I like to monger, I also see myself hiring a scooter and looking around during the days.

There are 3 gogo bars you simply MUST go to in Walking Street. Heavens Above, upstairs on Soi Diamond over baby. They have lingerie clad dancers until 9.30 in the evenning. Then they have teams of lively fully nude showgirls performing for 2 minutes every 45 minutes interspersed with the lingerie set. Peppermint has 4 entetainments all going on at once in a huge club. On RHS as you enter there's a bar with 3 topless girls in jeans, The main stage has bikini dancers with a team of 12 lively fully nude dancers every hour, the side stage has 3 or 4 topless girls who for no apparent reason go nude at iireglar intervals; At the back to the left is a cage with 12 fully nude girls who perform continuosly from opening at 8 to closing at 3am in teams of 4 in shifts of 20 mins so that you have a permanent line up of nudies - all facing you bang in the eye. Happy has bikini dancers on the main stage interspersed with nude dancers every hour or 45 mins. There are 2 side stages to the left in a long T shaped alcove, one is a glass cage with 2 or 3 nude girls at a time continuously ala Peppermint which is under common ownership; the other is less interesting with girls in micro skirts.
For daytime entertainment, opening at 1 in the afternoo, there are 2 gogos opposite one another on soi Post Office at the beach end. club Nevada and Far East. Try both. They have fully nude girls on the standard central gogo stage. The quality of girls varies from time to time but you will often get the odd stunner.
For Soapie massage try Sabai Dee at about soi 1 or 2 on the lhs of 2nd road opposite BIG C shopping centre. Avoid sabai land massage one block before sabai dee - it's been alowed to turn in to a slum & it's just plain dirty. Open from 14:00 hours. About 17:00 hours you can find 100 girls in the fishbowl all with good attitude; cost 1,700 for 90 minutes plus tip 400 to 500 for girl.

In my previous post, 2 minutes for the nude dancers in Heavens Above should of course be 20 minutes. The topless bar in Peppermint is on the LHS RHS.
Avoid galaxy with Russian strippers with one of them dancing in an upstairs window to entice you in. It will cost a fortune. A small beer is Bht 250 and 100 baht tips to every dancer at frequent intervals are compulsory.

Wait until TG2 reports on his visits to the 3 gogos I recommended.
Any regular Pattaya visitor or resident will recognise my descriptions of them.
I get so excited just thinking about them that I make typos.
I'm a newcomer to this board. What's your own experience of Pattaya ?
Go into the 2 Sabai's and compare the state of the rooms. They will be as per my description.
Your allegation borders on flaming.

Its actually a bit daunting going to Patts for the first time - mainly due to the bar scene being (seemingly) a lot larger than phuket.

I tend to go out at 8pm at night in phuket but can see patts days starting around midday with a whole lot of fun available during the day.

Might have to pack a cpl more packs of rubber johnnies to get me through.

Hello TG2,
Some members found my post incomprehensible. I wanted to pack as much info as possible for you into my post. You said you liked nightlife. Very few of the 80 gogos feature regular fully nude stunning dancing girls. Many gogos just put on dog shows. Heaven's Above, Peppermint and to a lesser extent Happy are the best. If you only have 4 days you should not miss the 1st 2. The best soapie massage is Sabai DEE. Walking Street has the best in stage -entertainment. The non-walking St bars are a pale imitation. But the girls in the non-WSt. bars might or might not be less arrogant and give a better performance when you take them back to your hotel.
Some don'ts for Pattaya newbies. Don't take freelancers back to your hotel because of the REAL security risk. Don't walk on the Northern end of beach road after dark because of the real risk of being mugged by ladyboys. The rest of P is safe. When you take bar girls out, pay only the barfine in advance. Some girls ask for the all night fee in advance and then leave after as quickie. Try stopping her & she'll scream the house down. I hope that this is helpful.

Some good advice. Would think for a first timer an afternoon stroll in Soi 6 is obligatory.
